Watched THE THING again (1982). This is really one hell of a movie, with still awesome FX and Kurt Russell is dead cool. If You have not yet, check out the commentary with Kurt and John Carpenter...think a few beers were consumed as lots of laughter. Kurt is in the same frame also during USED CARS (1980) and BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA (1986) commentaries also. By the way, I also recommend the other two. *****

I know, right? It blew me away. When excellent artists get away from meddling financiers...

I watched all of the Friday the 13th movies so with that being said Part VIII - Jason Takes Manhattan is the most recent one I watched. That movie is so bad, but I wouldn't mind watching the Alamo Drafthouse double feature some day with The Muppets Take Manhattan and Jason Takes Manhattan. I hope they do it again next year.

PSYCHO 2 (1983). Lots of things to recommend here-Anthony Perkins, impressive visual shots and sets-, but incredibly flabby script by Tom Holland (who improved greatly with FRIGHT NIGHT and CHILD'S PLAY) brings it way down. Have to say the scariest thing here is HOW MUCH Dennis Franz looks like porno actor Ron Jeremy ::shocked::::big grin::::wink::!! **1/2

Nightmare City
Only the second time I've watched this and I'm asking myself why I haven't thrown this sucker in the DVD player more often.

Omg it was eyegasmic! The artistry in these movies is so beautiful, I only hope Army of Darkness only intensifies the epic vibes instead of killing it. I borrowed it from the school library but haven't had time to watch it yet.
