Thats ok, bw. We are allowed to have a bit of healthy debate in a tournament thread anyway.:)
But, like Alky said, ED and ED II can be classified as great horror, while AoD, Bubba and Maniac Cop...while being complete entertainers...CANT be hailed as great horror movies (yet). Maybe in 20-30 years time they eventually might reach that status... But looking down the resume of either Vincent Price or Boris Karloff...these were the two who MADE the genre what it is today...the iconic status of horror as a separate and respected genre wasnt made overnight...but through years of classic and awesome performances on-screen by some of the most talented stars to have ever come out... I am sure Bruce himself would agree with me here, and take a bow.;) (Although he would be surprised too at being beaten by Jack in this tourney) This was one of the best Finals ever in a tournament, and it ran REAL close... Ladies and Gentlemen, by beating the incomparable Vincent Price by a margin of 10 votes to 9 in the closest Final match yet seen in a tournament... Wow...this MUST be one of the BIGGEST comebacks in the history of tournaments...
Ladies and Gentlemen, From trailing 6-1 after the initial votes, and making a really strong comeback to beat Jamie Lee Curtis by a margin of 10 votes to 8... The winner, and the hailed QUEEN OF THE HORROR STARS... BETTE DAVIS http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ette_davis.jpg This has been a truly remarkable tournament with quite a few BIG upsets and which shows that true talent and quality actors are never gone unnoticed in the annals of history. All hail and bow to Boris and Bette...you both rule the Horror genre long after you are gone from the scene.
