The Villain 06-20-2011 11:08 AM

I'm hearing that Dunn is actually alive and it was just a stunt for the next Jackass movie. Anybody know if this is true or not?

It doesn't seem likely. I don't think even the Jackass guys would take a prank this far.

To me it sounds totally Jackass to do a prank like that.

ferretchucker 06-21-2011 11:38 AM

I think if it were a prank, they would get a hell of a lot of hate for it. Never watched the show myself so I'm not particularly hit by the news, but it seems that many others are.

Did you see that a lot of people are angry at Roger Ebert for posting this tweet:

https://twitter.com/#!/ebertchicago/...72136712192000

cheebacheeba 06-21-2011 07:47 PM

Yeah the Dunn thing really came out of nowhere for me.
It's funny, I've always expected that one of the Jackass/CKY guys would go out in some sort of spectacular stunt related fashion but then something that effects many people takes one.
I'm assuming it's true (that said - if it's not, I don't really think I'd bother with anything further they put out) and yeah, that's pretty unfortunate, I always found him one of the more likeable guys of the cast...I've watched him in various things from a time he was about 15 years younger than I am now, I know the series/s will be at a loss without him.
Ah well, R.I.P

Elvis_Christ 06-21-2011 10:09 PM

Real shame about Dunn he seemed like a good dude :(

Fair enough that's a pretty shitty thing to say.

And rightly so. That was a pretty insensitive remark.

Yeah, and his reply is that it was anti-drinking-and-driving, which is still no excuse for a comment like that. Regardless, that's the last thing his family and friends want to read.

cheebacheeba 06-22-2011 05:34 AM

Just got back from The Hangover: Part Two.
Pretty fun movie. Thought it was fairly different from the style of the first one but it still comes off as a worthy sequel. For me it wasn't as outrightly funny but I thought the events of the film and the storyline were equal if not better.
Good follow up. Nothing remarkable but one I'll add to my collection nonetheless.

Did you confuse this thread with Last Seen Movie?

ferretchucker 06-22-2011 08:36 AM

I think that tweet MIGHT have made rounds and been regarded as quite a funny one liner...had it not been made by a high profile public figure. Let's face it - no celebrity death goes without jokes being made. Just think Ebert was a bit dim for posting it himself.

Damn.:( RIP Columbo.

ferretchucker 06-24-2011 02:33 PM

Now this is sad. Very sad. Columbo always makes me think of visiting my Grandmother - she never misses an episode. RIP, Falk.

Things don't look too good for Jerry Lewis at the moment...
He cancelled his show/s here, according to reports he was suddenly very ill, really pale and couldn't even move much at all.

Bizarre 06-29-2011 04:05 AM

I'd just happened to have watched The Nutty Proffessor when I heard he was getting a lot worse. Time will tell.

Wait, which Jerry Lewis? The comedian or the musician?
