I can't wait to see what will happen in that town. I was surprised to see a small military group and the outcome. At first I thought the bit with the helicopter was a flashback too. So far this season is a lot better than last. The whole search for the kid thing got old. Even if it was character development with Shane and the others. I guess Shane would basically be similar to the Governor if he survived.

hammerfan 11-05-2012 01:53 AM

Wow....just....wow....

neverending 11-05-2012 01:55 AM

Very emotional.

ImmortalSlasher 11-05-2012 08:47 AM

Shocking. I guess no one is off the table in this show. Man, that was rough. Not a spoiler but I didn't know someone could give birth standing up? I think this episode made this show more than must watch but must not miss when it airs. I can't wait till next week.

Every bit of entertainment intervews and recaps say she's dead...

Though, I see a rumor online that SWEARS she's still alive.

Based on the fact they made a definite point of showing that Carol had to practice c-sections...and based on the fact that no one knows where Carol is.
What if she made it to the room where Lori is???
And what if Carl just couldn't bring himself to shoot her???
What if she manages to stop the bleeding???

What if, what if, what if???

neverending 11-05-2012 01:40 PM

Those are very good points!

newb 11-06-2012 09:56 AM

Great episode.

can't say that I'm sorry to see her go

Now if they would just get rid of that damn kid!

neverending 11-06-2012 01:50 PM

Carl is the heart of this show. He's the future generation. Without Carl, there's no reminder that this is a society in transition, and the world will exist beyond the lives of the current generation. Without Carl, you lose a lot of depth to the story. I find the changes Carl's been going through fascinating.

The hatred I've seen for this character across the internet really bothers me. Carl's stupid, carl never does what he's told... Holy crap- he's a child! He acts like a child. A society without children is a society without hope.

taintedparadise 11-07-2012 01:15 AM

How good is Walking Dead season 2 so far? not got round to watching it yet. Might have a catch up over the weekend.

neverending 11-07-2012 02:08 AM

And by season 2, I assume you mean season 3...

Action Avenue 11-07-2012 02:45 AM

Season 3 has been awesome so far, but then again, the first 2 seasons were great also. SPOILER ALERT FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NOT SEEN IT YET: Shame that T-Dog was killed off, at least he went out a hero trying to save Carol. I believe she is still alive, by the way. My wife has a theory that Carl was not able to shoot his mom, who apparently died after getting the primitive C section from Maggie. Carl shot at something, either another lurking zombie, his mom or he wasted a precious bullet (if he didn't shoot Lori). Guess we'll get the answers to these question and maybe we'll see Lori as a zombie! Things are really heating up over with Andrea, Michonne and The Governor. Guess Merle realizes what kind of a control freak the Gov is after all but saying he would forbid Merle from trying to find his brother. Cool stuff.

ImmortalSlasher 11-07-2012 06:52 AM

Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No way she survived. Far too much went into the performance for them to have Carol run around and back inside the prison, get medical gear, find Lori, and save her. The look between characters at the end said she was gone too. I want to know where Carol is because she was unarmed but escaped outside. Where? We don't know. I can't wait for next Sunday.

I'll admit that i didn't like Carl during Season 2 but the more i think of it, his actions were understandable for what he was going through and he did save Rick in the end.

As for how he is in Season 3, all my annoyance over the kid are gone now. He's strong, mature, responsible and get's things done. He's someone that can be counted on and i'm eager to see if he steps up with his Dad apparently snapping in the next episode.

The original with Brooke Shields and Christopher What's-His-Name

Action Avenue 12-04-2012 02:56 AM

SPOILER: The mid-season finale was absolutely compelling! I was not expecting the situation in which Daryl would be captured. When Merle lied to the Governor about the demise of Michonne, it was going to come back to haunt him, I just didn't think that it would happen so soon. Originally, I thought Merle and Daryl were going to have to square off in a "good bro vs. bad bro" type scenario, but now it looks like they are going to have to team up (probably with Andrea) to get the heck out of Woodbury and back to the prison with their the lives intact! Cool to see Tyrese finally added to the story line. Axel is kind of creepy, but hopefully harmless to the females in the group. That was a hilarious exchange between Axel and Carol! Can't wait for Feb 10, 2013!

Elvis_Christ 12-06-2012 04:02 PM

I hate these mid season breaks it just messes up the momentum for me.

ImmortalSlasher 12-14-2012 09:02 AM

This was far better than last season. I can't wait for next year's episodes.

Yeah, my wife and I aren't big fans of the mid season break either, but I recommend reading the comics if you'd like to keep some of the momentum for the show. If you're not familiar with them, I can tell you the comics are different enough from the show as to not really spoil any plot lines on the show. Give them a try!

Of course it's on the same time as Downton Abbey. I have to see if it'll be on On Demand.

newb 02-10-2013 04:35 PM

going to be watching it tonight at 10.....DVR it at 9...watch Shameless at 9 on Showtime...the Walking Dead sans commercials

JasonLuck 02-12-2013 03:32 PM

I've seen all of Walking Dead and eagerly awaiting the fourth season. And I must say, it is SICK :) Its a about zombies yes, but the ones to fear are the humans themselves which makes it that much more interesting.

Highly Recommended.

JessieC 02-16-2013 04:12 AM

I'm just starting to watch this show, so far so good! Glad everyone is giving it good reviews :)

Avoid the second series then if you want to keep enjoying it.

neverending 02-17-2013 01:50 AM

Or you could ignore the haters and form your own opinion.

Ice Pik 02-17-2013 02:47 PM

Second season did kinda reminded me more of a soap opera then a horror show still worth the watch to keep you up dated. A lot happens to the character's.

Great quote, and so true.

And I agree about Season 2, and the character development in general. Some of the most memorable moments of the series are in Season 2 (Sofia and the barn scene comes to mind... Glenn and the well... Rick/Glenn/Hershel in the bar, dealing with the human threat...). I know I would be much less excited each week to see what happens next, if it were not for the characters. The only part of Season 2 that dragged just a tad for me was while Carl was sick in bed, and it seemed to limit the breadth of the storyline a bit. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.

Welcome2PrimeTimeBitch 02-22-2013 03:49 PM

I love the walking dead!! :p
Second season does seem to go a little slower than the first but it helps develop some characters so it didn't bother me that much. Season 3 is turning out to be good so far.
