when half way through a thread people start having their own personal convos and they never get back on topic so its like anyone new that comes in doesn't know what the hell is going on.

I've noticed this a lot

hacelikewhoa 11-08-2008 12:56 PM

and some of my posts have randomly disappeared with no explanation and idk why

Same thing for my parents. They hate that as well. In our bathroom we have two signs.

The 1st says : If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweetie and wipe the seatie. :D

The second says: Our goal is to keep this bathroom clean. Ladies, please remain seated for the entire performance. Gentleman, your aim will help. Stand closer. It's shorter than you think. :D

No I guess they are. I got a few PMs from a Mod, and it could just be the new upgrades messing with things.

I already did, thank you. I just wanted to clarify that I jumped to conclusions and this isn't just people who feel like reading other peoples PMs or anything.

Same for me...her dog's adorable. But how this woman Wastes money is outrageous. Has anyone watched her show Paris Hilton's New Best Friend. At least she has wealth genetically though. Nicole Richie, her old best friend was adopted by Lionel Richie.

Stores that don't allow pets, even when they're small and you can carry them in your arms.

hacelikewhoa 11-10-2008 04:32 PM

the only stores that should allow pets are pet stores

why else would you need a pet in a store with you?

Giving your Dog a walk and you realize you need some milk.

missmacabre 11-11-2008 08:15 AM

I hate when the little tab on Tim Hortons coffe cups wont stay open.

Also when ungrateful jerks decide to keep doing their homework suring the two minutes of silence.

and when you're sick for a week and miss classes but then have to skip classes afterwards to get caught up. Will it never end?

I wouldn't call that Drama Queen. I do the same thing because I have OCD and like things to be consistent. I also get really upset when I know exactly what I want to eat but then don't have the ingredients to make it how I normally would. Little things like not having raspberry jam, but having strawberry just makes me so mad. I wouldn't consider myself all full of drama though.

I agree... that happened to me. But eventually we'll get there...or I hope so
It helps if alot of the material is online (like notes, and quizzes)

Oh, online notes, how I love thee. They are the only reason I can afford to stay home and sleep and eat soup tomorrow.

Indian givers get on my nerves

my aunt just bought back a table that I bought from her. I really didn't want to sell it back.. it fit perfect in my kitchen..one of those tall breakfast nook type tables and it matched like perfectly but I'm broke and need the money badly. She gave m this god awful table...its short but the table top is huge and takes up half my kitchen and it only came with 2 chairs..and the top of it is painted like a clock?? ahhhh!

and another thing..

when you let someone borrow something and they never give it back!
biggest mistake ever.. I was in a band over two years ago and I let the guitarist borrow my black epiphone electric guitar, a distortion pedal, and all of the cords. well the band broke up and she moved to cleveland. Well I've been trying to contact her ever since but she won't email me or call me back! And it's really pissing me off. One of my good friends was her best friend so I was trying to get it back through her but she hasn't really tried. So I'm going to have to drive to clevo and hunt this bitch down and steal my shit back!

I know what that means, but I'm not sure how the term came about.
Most actual Indians (er...the asian located ones anyhow) I've known, if they give something...well, I've not had them ask for it back.

I don't like that I have a couple back problems, but I find the most difficult thing to do is sleep on my back, which I ought to.

I absolutely cannot sleep on my back either. I have to switch sides constantly throughout the night which messes up my shoulders and causes my upper back to hurt. The kind of work I do also tears up my back so I'm hoping to go to school soon and get out of it.

and as for indian giving.. idk why it's called that but it makes for a pretty funny seinfield episode.

neverending 11-19-2008 02:30 AM

The term "Indian giver" came from American settlers when they first came in contact with Native Americans. They didn't have exactly the same concept of ownership the Europeans did, so when they would "give" something to a settler, the settler thought it was theirs to keep, when really they were just loaning it. Later on, when the native needed to use it he would come to get it, only to find this wasn't viewed too kindly.

hacelikewhoa 11-19-2008 02:34 AM

And now I know.

;)

Phalanx 11-19-2008 02:42 AM

Heh, he just made that up - but it sounds real enough to be true ;)

hacelikewhoa 11-19-2008 02:44 AM

well sounds good enough to me.
