Condemned: Criminal Origins

I made it through the whole game, without even flinching....Until I came to chapter 9. That level just freaked me out for some reason. Chapter 10 wasn't scary at all. But chapter 9....*Shudders*

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend

This was a fun throwback to the original Tomb Raider games. Reminds me a lot of the first and second of the series. Even a little of the third.

Just beat Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on realistic and its alot easier than the first.

Did you get the update so that you'd get the Achievement? I got it when it first came out, and played it through on Realistic twice, trying to get that thing, then realized I just needed to sign into XBL.

Freak 08-14-2008 02:22 PM

Are you talking about the private first class one?If so yeah I got it yesterday.

Nope. "Freedom Shall Prevail". It gives it to you when you finish Realistic. Or it's supposed to anyway.

Phalanx 08-14-2008 05:03 PM

X-men legends...not the easiest game.
I liked it though. Once you get the hang of the team management, combat becomes a lot more simple.
I have #2 lined up and ready to go.., but I'm going to wait a while, not sure what I'll play next at this stage, all these games lying around that I've yet to play.
Maybe I'll finally get into onimusha.

Onimusha was pretty good. Not anything different from what you've played before, I'm sure.

Yeah it unlocked for me right away.

Need For Speed Most Wanted
upgrading cars is always a blast,

Tony Hawks proving grounds
im a huge fan of the series, and this is my favorite so far. There are literally over 100 events to complete throughout the game. its huge. The map is way bigger, and this one allows you to edit the map itself, mid gameplay, during missions, whenever. having trouble getting over something? edit the map, place a kicker somewhere, or rig up some rails to get yourself around something. Brilliant feature that makes the game rely on problem solving as much as skill.

Just finished Mechwarrior 3. Great game, but the ending was a bit flat. Turns out the final "Elite" team i went up against becomes significantly less elite when you hammer them with clusters of 40 missiles from long range (2 lrm 20s for those of you who are Battletech savvy). The final battle lasted about 90 seconds.

I hate it when I beat games too easily. I built up my character on Oblivion so much that i completely destroyed the last boss. 200 hours playing time for something so anti climactic. same deal with Mass Effect except not as much playing time.

VampiricClown 08-18-2008 05:30 PM

Crackdown

A bit of a short ending...and game. I'll probably get all the DLC and play it some more at some point.

I know, and MW3 was from the days where the end of the game was a box with rolling credits... Not even the severed bunny head from DOOM.

Bioshock has one of the best endings ever. Ties thing sup in a neat little bow and gives you a feeling of closure, not to mention impact.

The Mothman 08-18-2008 07:39 PM

Also too easy though. The respawning method makes you practically invincible, possibly if the boss regenerated health it would have been a little harder, but I beat him in about a minute and a half. Story-wise it was good, but it was too easy.

Way too easy. I never even got to see what happened if you die. I played through on Normal, and never even came close to being killed.

pythagoraz 08-20-2008 05:05 PM

Yeah way too easy. But still a greater game than most games comming out currently...

ChronoGrl 09-20-2008 07:39 PM

Just beat Condemned: Criminal Origins.

Good horror video game, amazing graphics, and a nice creepy little investigative story.

Definitely scarier than the second Condemned (Condemned II: Bloodshot), though I thought that the second game was an overall better gaming experience.

That being said, Condemned: Criminal Origins is a solid game and I highly recommend it for horror gaming fans.

Prey

This was a very interesting, if sometimes odd and vomit inducing game. The gravity will really get to you in the first few levels.

There were a lot of things in this game that just made you go, "Wow!".

The graphics (minus the people) are amazing.

I'll play this one again to get the last Achievement.

Be sure to continue watching after the credits!!!

Crank up the difficaulty to max, and turn off the Vita Chambers. Big Daddies suddenly become ridiculously difficult to kill. However, it really makes you appreciate the Adam.

Devil-Hunter 09-23-2008 09:00 AM

Reservoir Dogs (PS2)
Ghostbusters (SEGA MASTER SYSTEM)

? How do you turn off a Vita Chamber? What IS a Vita Chamber?

I beat it at the normal difficulty. I'm going to put it on the top difficulty and try to get the Achievement for beating it without dying on the hardest difficulty.

Sweet - This is actually making me pretty pumped. I just ordered it from Amazon (just under $10, shipping included).

Doom 3 for xbox

Phalanx 09-26-2008 02:46 PM

Onimusha (1) - Warlords
Not a bad game...of course would've been more impressive some 7-8 years ago, which I think is when it was released.
An interesting experience of a slightly resident evil vibe.
The combat system was cool, the boss fights were pretty decent, the puzzles got annoying, the musical score was great.
I have to say, not very "scary", I'd hoped something involving demons might throw together a bit more atmosphere, but hey...it was good enough.
Quite a short game overall though...under 6 hours...
Having never played it though, I was adequetly impressed - might go ahead and grab the rest of them, it'll be nice to see the series evolve.

Castle Crashers

Great game with a ton of stuff to unlock and really witty humor (ok, a lot of scatological stuff too). I'll be playing through it a lot.

Posher778 09-30-2008 01:09 PM

Zelda- Ocarina of Time

Zelda- Majora's Mask (I think this far surpasses OOT)

hmmmm.... are you playing it on the XBox? If so, then i dont know. in the pc version, in the game configuration, there is an option to turn off vita chambers.

On the 360 you pass vita chambers all the time, it's like a restore point if you die I believe.

15 bucks? I guess it's a little steep for an XBLA game but with tons of weapons, animals, and 22 unlockable characters (before DLC comes out) it's well worth it to me.

ChronoGrl 10-13-2008 06:43 PM

Just beat Prey for the Xbox 360.

Definitely enjoyable. The graphics, Big Bads, and weapons were all very cool. Wish it was less linear and more Doom- or Metroid-like. I got a little bored near the end, but the final battles were actually challenging, which always keeps me interested.

Regardless, it was a blast overall.
