Round 1: Match 13
Dae Han Park vs. Tommy Lee Movie: Best of the Best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK0Gym2hRac "Coach, he's gonna kill him!" Tee hee. The overdone drama is in high form in this fight scene. What will Tommy Lee (not the man-skank from the 80's band, this one is Asian looking) do? Cost America the precious few points it needs to win the karate fight championship or kill his brother? Coach James Earl Jones says "no" and you don't mess with James Earl Jones using his deep voice. VS The good guy vs. the bad guy Movie: Versus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXqDOmnGsH0 Same director as the fight in Azumi, but with a smaller budget and much smaller cast. I was going to go with the Yakuza guys vs. the zombies, but the fight was broken up too much into different scenes, so I opted for the also good and more concise final fight. |
Versus fight. ive always been quite fond of that one. bullets hitting eacthother was awesome.
the first punch thrown in the other fight obviously didnt make contact. |

I like Tak too much not to vote for him. |
Best of the Best.I loved that movie when I was younger.

Round 1: Match 14
Ting vs. Bar fighters Movie: Ong-Bak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXzGU80vNLw Hopefully this style of fight scenes take off like the Crouching Tiger style fights took off. Truth be told, I much prefer these fight scenes to the ones where everybody's flying about and running up plant life and what not. Jaa manages to sustain a hell of a beating here with the big guy smashing things on him and keeps coming, while managing to make it look convincing and not just "he can't get hurt, he's the protagonist!" VS The Bride vs. the Crazy 88 Movie: Kill Bill vol. 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdjuS17DGlA Make sure to watch this clip even if you've seen the movie. It's the Japanese cut of it and it doesn't cut to black and white or anything, so it's a bit different. I didn't think Uma Thurman would make a convincing action heroine, having only seen her in Pulp Fiction and Batman & Robin, but she emphatically proves me wrong by maiming several dozen Japanese people. |
Gotta go with Jaa in Ong Bak.
Thanks for the Kill Bill clip, though; I've never seen the Japanese edit. |
Kill Bill. Great clip, btw, I had never seen it either.

The Bride vs The Crazy 88.
Apart from being one of the best choreographed sword swishing of all time, the switch-over from color to b/w and back (in the US version) added a unique blend to the bloodbath. |
The Bride vs. the Crazy 88. One of my favourite fight scenes of all time but I'm a very biased Terrantino fan.

The Bride vs. the Crazy 88

The Bride vs. the Crazy 88
|
The Bride vs. the Crazy 88. Uma Thurman going Reiko Ike on the Yuen Wo Ping Fight Team's asses is fantastic.
|
Didn't think this would be blow way out I thought that Ong Bak would keep it close so when I saw you did put Kill Bill against someone hard like you threatened I kind of felt sad a moment. Even though Ong Bak was a breath of fresh air with its fights and style I will always remember how giddy I was to watch Kill Bill for the first time October 10th of 2003.
The Bride vs. The Crazy 88 |
The Bride vs The Crazy 88 no doubt. One of the best fights ever filmed.
|
This is the best fight in this tourney so far.Even though I loved Kill Bill, any fight with Tonby Jaa in it will always win.I'm going with Ong Bak.
|
The bride and the crazys from Kill Billy.
|
Alright, alright, I'll stop the massacre. Kill Bill fight wins 9-3, next match in a second

Round 1: Match 15
Annakin Skywalker vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi Movie: Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSwy412nttI Six movies built up to this fight. Two or three of them were really good. But nevertheless, the fight scene is fantastic. It was really close between this and the Kenobi/Jinn vs. Darth Maul fight, but seeing whiny-ass Mannequin Skywalker get his limbs chopped off while his face melts wins out. VS Coolie, Donut, and the Tailor vs. the Axe Gang Movie: Kung Fu Hustle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZorwMyOyPOk Kung Fu Hustle had to be in the tournament. The movie, this fight in particular, is one of the rare occasions where comedy, and not just the over-the-top violence or exploitation-referencing style, but actual comedy, is blended with action and it's not just lame slapstick boringness. There's slapstick, yes, but it's neither lame nor boring. Shanghai Noon aside, Jackie Chan wishes his alleged comedies were as funny as this. |
Coolie, Donut, and the Tailor vs. the Axe Gang.
Without even seeing the clips (since I ve seen both the movies) I can pretty certainly say Kung Fu Hustle can kick the shit out of any Star Wars fights. So yeah... |

Kung Fu Hustle rules.

I'm a Star Wars fan and I still say Kung Fu Hustle. We're talking fight scenes, not movie hype.
