"The evil dead" should not be remade. In fact, The movie should have never been made. I don't like the evil dead because people label it and "underground movie." I was talking to this kid once and he said he was into underground horror movies. I asked him what kind he liked and the first one he said was "the evil dead." Ha, really underground. They sell them at wal mart and target. Really underground huh? The movie is pretty overrated if you think about it. Was it even scary? No, it wasn't. It was more of a dark comedy. Look at Sam Rami (I don't know his last name) now. He is making movies like spider-man. So I don't think they should remake the evil dead. They shouldn't even make a fourth one. Take care!

Oh, and if you look really closely in a couple episodes of Sea Quest, you can spot Ted Raimi!

Should The Evil Dead be remade? Hell yes, while they are at it, why not go ahead and remake Gone With The Wind, Taxi Driver, and Raging Bull? Heck, all "CLASSICS" deserve a remake. Jesus H. Christ, this insanity must end!

Oh, this is a painful topic!

Remake the Evil Dead. No, no way, never.

It shouldn't, couldn't, musn't be done.

That film was a benchmark in horror movies. Small budget, small (unknown) cast and imagination and desire by the bucketloads.

See the Texas Chainsaw remake for an example of why it shouldn't ever be done. Ok, the film wasn't that bad but I don't know about you guys but the whole time I was watching it I wanted to be sat in front of my DVD player watching the original.

At the end of the day, remakes are not for the fans, they are for the studios bank balances.

And as I speak, up comes the remake of 'Dawn'...

I shall go to see it. I go to see them all. But it will never change the fact that these ten a penny, chuck money at it till it drowns remakes never outdo the made on a shoestring, blood, sweat and tears originals.

And that's my ten penneth.

Regards.

I'd prefer a fourth than a remake (not that I'm exactly counting on #4 to ever happen at this point)....the original was some oldskool good shit, I just don't think a remake could get the "feel" happening...

No, it was a bad movie the first time around and I'm sure it will suck even more the second time around.
