Most americans grow up in a shell. all most know about the rest of the world is from movies and tv, neither of which are particularly reliable. Never hurts to correct us :)

I actually lived in europe for 9 years, and no one ever bothered to explain that difference to me.

I always thought it was more horror/action. the comedy was just the result of good writing, rather than it actually being a "comedy"

I loved Dog Soliders! I thought the characters and dialogue were brilliant and the special effects stood up well in my opinion.

hey preach i need a lil clarification please. what is the difference between britain and whales? is whales a geographic location or is it a term used for all of britain?

Whales are mammals.:D

My PERSONAL (not imposing on anyone) definition of a slasher is a film with a single protagonist (generally a fella with a weapon/tool of some kind :o ) and little or no nods to the supernatural (aside from resilience to injury).

Two of the 3 biggest slashers are supernatural:
Jason Voorhees
Freddy Kreuger

That aside, Dog Soldiers could not be farther from slasher...
