I suck, I am just too much of a snob-after my huge let down with the Evil Dead remake I refuse to go see a horror movie in theaters. I get bored, at least renting or streaming at home it's cheaper and I can roll out.
I prefer the movies that don't come out in theaters oddly enough.

I do need to see Dad Snow 2-been obsessed with the first one for almost 5 years.

The purge anarchy was a huge let down.

Odd Thomas was eh, cute.

The only good movie I've seen this year isn't horror but is the last movie James Gandolfini did-The Drop. Sort of anti-clamatic but it's pretty damn good. RIP

I know what you mean. Evil Dead remake deflated me too.

For 2014, see The Grand Budapest Hotel. Can't miss.
Plus I really liked X-Men: Days of Future Past. A lot of heart & deep issues, if you can sit through the bit-too-long action sequences.

I've seen the Evil Dead remake propably 20 times. I love it!

I haven't been to the theater in years.
I'd rather experience a movie at home in my own setting.

Dead Snow 2 is freakin' sweet.
If you don't mind more comedy then you'll love it.
It's so good in so many ways.

Nah, I'm with Sculpt on that one.

Maybe it's because of my age and i truly love Evil Dead II. This one just didn't feel like a remake at all. If it had been a sequal i might've tolerated it.

I've seen it 5 times. Love it. It will never replace the original(s) -- those films are simply not remakeable due to their unique, low-budget, groundbreaking, cult nature -- but I enjoyed it as a gory, intense, sometimes funny demon possession movie. I thought it did the originals as much justice as can be expected.

I enjoyed it more than Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness to be honest... those two never really wowed me.
