I know it's a sequel, though it's regarded as a reboot because it focuses on the 'Rules of a Reboot' for a new generation, plus the fact that it's/was planned to be the start of a new trilogy. And the fact that it's been more then 10 years so a lot has changed. So yeah, I use the word reboot when talking about it.

It doesnt matter though. Its not what a reboot is. It's not starting over. Its just a sequel. The new Batman movies are reboots, the new Spiderman is a reboot.

To be a reboot you can't follow the storyline of the others and continue them, you have to start over at the beginning. Thats why its called a reboot. Hell its called Scream 4, how can the 4th movie in a series be a reboot?

Again, I call it a reboot. I know can't technically be a reboot. I also know that calling it a reboot is horrible incorrect. It's a personal preference. Scream followed the rules of a slasher movie, Scream 2 followed the rules of a Slasher Sequel, Scream 3 followed the rules of the final in a trilogy, so what does Scream 4 follow? The rules of a fourth installment in a series? Nah, it more follows the rules of a reboot. Naturally, I call it a reboot, and I'm fully aware of the term being incorrect, but the hell I'm calling it a 'fourth installment in a series which was suspected to end 10 years ago but the actors and actresses decided it would be fun to do it again, this time for a new generation'.

Anyway, we can go back-and-forth like this all night or we can just stop it here ;) .

I'm not trying to fight, its just a discussion. To be honest one of the reasons i started to dislike the films after the first one was because of the characters constantly following the rules as you said. It was new and original for the first one but it started to become gimmicky as time went on and the fourth movie practically breaks the fourth wall doing it and it basically becomes a parody. If you want to call it a reboot, who am i to argue with you. I just stated my opinion on the matter.

Yeah, though generally people believe I try to start arguments :P . If you dislike the films for that reason, I can neither argue against or change your opinion (not that I tried to or will ever try to).

I 2nd on the Insiduous, Paranormal is pretty gay.

For Ghost Storys, i love the: Grudge, Shutter, orig The Haunting, Orphanage, and just recently re-watched: What lies Beneath, The Changeling, Amityville 79', Session 9 and house on haunted hil!

and i also like:stigmata, mirrors, silent hill, 13 ghosts, The others and the uninvited + tale of 2 sisters,

Ones i didn't like but are good if nothing else: Skeleton Key, 1408

I am more of a Zombie/Slashing/Murder type of guy anything that you have to kill with a a weapon, or they kill you with a weapon, then i am in.

I know of more cool ghost movies, these were just the ones on the top of my head that are probably on every list out their!
