Yeah, sounds shite!
I went to a special screening of The Whisperer in Darkness at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast and was bored rigid.
It was probably faithful to a fault to the book but, HP Lovecraft is amazing because of the beauty of the language, and that just didn't translate in the movie. It was made to appear like an old '40s movie, and they did that really well but the movie was too long.
It was the same group that made Call of Cthulu, which is supposed to be great but I'll put off watching it for a while. At least until the memory of the above has faded. |
