There's no point in listing the films I hate, but my favorites are:

The Quiet Man
The Philadelphia Story
Night of the Living Dead
Doctor Strangelove
Harold and Maude
Wild at Heart
The Empire Strikes Back
Pulp Fiction
Pan's Labyrinth
The Bride of Frankenstein
An American Werewolf in London
Paths of Glory
The Thing
Big Trouble in Little China
The Searchers
Hang 'em High
Big Jake
A Clockwork Orange
The Wild Bunch
Stray Dog
Straw Dogs
Alien
Being There
Le Circle Rouge
The King of Masks
Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger
Evil Dead
Braindead
Dazed and Confused

The only part of harold and Maude that i liked was when he chopped his arm off, randomly. Hilarious!

I haven't seen the original but I HATE the remake with a passion therefore I have never wanted to see the original. I actually caught it on tv one night but fell asleep and didnt feel like watching subtitles.

I have never seen Pan's Labrynth if you were directing that second question to me. I put THE Labrynth w/David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly lol. :p

if the labyrinth hits the spot and subtitles don't then i'd avoid pan's labyrinth, although it is a favourite behind saving private ryan and unforgiven. watch both when in the mood and i gaurantee you'll love them both; pan's labyrinth and ju on.

First post here. I actually rented The Descent based upon some people saying it was a good flick. I tell ya, it was one of the worst movies I have seen. Just the premise of a bunch of coeds going spelunking is ridiculous to me. I was very disappointed. For those of you that liked it; why? Just curious.

jackpot! with your first thread you've nailed one of the most frequently reoccuring points of argument. personally, i loved the claustrophobia of the movie. its like marmite, you either love it or hate it. either way, i wouldn't bother opening up this can of worms.

i hated space oddesy. Absolute crap. I don't know why some people call it genius. I know a two year old who could do better. 20 minutes of monkey and the rest was just artsy fartsy crap. total waste of time.

Gotcha. The old "One man's junk is another man's treasure" type deal I guess. You guys did convince me to give The Hills Have Eyes re-make a try though. Gonna watch that one tonight.
