look in the picture of the big bundle of chocolate, it's there!

My mistake, sorry.

But it was worth a picture all on its own. :D

Anyways, when i was a kid and went out 'guising' they had to tell a joke or story, before they were given anything. Now we 'crabbit' adults are expected to give them something, just because they turn up at the door.

Do not think so - it's fun watching them trying to think of something, before the door slams shut, or the dog goes hunting.

No offence but american candy sucks compared to our sweets. Ours are sweeter, fruiter, easier to chew and have more flavour. They taste soooo much better than they sound!

Damn you Ferretchucker; damn you all to Hell! I can see you UK folks do have better sweets and you are enjoying gloating over that fact! You like watching us suffer with sucky candies. It is SICK. By the way UK actually stands for UnKlean, as in Eville, as in you all are Eville.

Happy Halloween though!

although, there is one american treat that is better than nearly half the sweets here. Reeses mini cups. Only good thing that every came from hersheys!

You missed out Thornton's chocolate..I could practically live off that, especially the continental selection:cool: I'm no fan of Hershey's, I have to say...someone brought me over a bar across the pond once and it seemed really waxy.

We never get many TT'ers round here being in a cul-de-sac, even though we have a cool pumpkin light thing in the window, but we normally have a couple of packs of choc bars to hand just in case

I used to work at this place that had a kooky international market down the street, and during lunch folks would go down and get things there. They had this international candy section and it had some of the weirdest shit...bins of candies in strange wrappers, many odd flavors. You could take a bag and just pour different candies into it and buy whatever you chose by weight. These candies would make people who hated you become your friend. It was fun watching the girls eyeing the chocolate candies and worrying about the Chocolate Effect.

My favorite was a candy called "South Night"...had a picture of a quiet island at night, a tranquil ocean, the moon. All printed on a foil wrapper. Inside the wrapper was a dark chocolate-covered rectangle of marshmallow with like a cherry jelly layer.

It wasn't very amazing but it was weird and I liked the wrapper...every time I looked at it, I imagined Butt-Head from Beavis and Butt-Head saying, "Huh huh huh huh...South Night!! Huh huh." I don't know why. This was the only thing I could think of.

Check out this site for classic sweets:

www.aquarterof.com

I bought some stuff from there once, but be warned, they come in HUGE bags. I was giving away foam mushrooms and white chocolate fish'n'chips for weeks!
