I disagree.

I think your logic would work in most cases. But that's the beauty of the film. We side with the monsters.

And I actually didn't like Wydell.

i sure as hell didnt side with the scumbags ..

i wanted them to all die painfully and horribly.
was dissapointed that all they got was bullets - wanted to see them torn limb from limb.

I agree. One of the things I like most about the movie is that it makes you feel some sympathy for what you know are really bad people. I thing that's the mark of a good movie.

Plague Dogs, saddest ending ever. For me, not the characters. At least the dogs still had hope.

I may sound old, but I have two relatively dated movies which had -- what I would consider -- sad endings. Those are "Don't Look Now" and "Full Circle."

Effective flashbacks (especially of his wife and daughter) as well as the music made Don't Look Now's ending effective.

Full Circle's was eerie in one sense, and sad when you realize the torment Mia Farrow's character endured throughout the movie.

i really disliked dont look now. every time it's mentioned, i can only see donald Sutherland's skinny, hairy, naked ass. its kind of like biting into a bad pickle.. it just wont go away....
