The only new song ive heard was No W and it sounds pretty good to me

Yes. Industrial tends to have more electronic elements like keyboards and drum machines. Also most Industrial is light on guitars.

Pig Destroyer has a LOT of amazing, wicked lyrics....Unfortunately, you can't hear them to appreciate them because their 'music' and 'singing'(growling/grunting) are so horrible...

I absolutely LOVE this one, but I don't listen to the actual song...I got rid of it...Couldn't hear the words over the 'noise' anyway...Such a shame:

Junkyard God...by Pig Destroyer

My knuckles are bleeding on your front door
and these flowers are wilting in the rain.
They were for you and now they are for no one.
They are irrelevant as mercenaries in times of peace.
They are smoke twisting off the lips of a movie star.
Here is a boy with paper skin who longs to touch the girl of broken glass.
She loves it when he wears his skin like that.
In tatters.

Durr... I don't even know if they're classified as "punk". I listen to a lot of Thrice, Coheed and Cambria, Hot Water Music, 3, Brazil....

I've never actualy looked at the lyrics much. It's just energetic, but i did like those lyrics you posted. They were alright for grindcore.

Industrial metal: KMFDM, Bile, Beherit, The Kovnant
Industrial: Vnv Nation, Skinny Puppy, Wumpscut

Alice in Chains is grunge more than anything, definately not industrial. I'm not trying to be a douche, but damn, they are as far away from industrial as you can get. Music genre's get annoying and confusing anyway.

Agreed...My daughter and I were just trying to give a good definition to 'Nu-Metal'...I told her that it seemed to be more metal/pop to me (Linkin Park)...She said she felt it was more metal/rap (Slipknot, Limp Biskit, Korn)...So...Yeah...the subgenres DO tend to get confusing...

And I urge you to check out some of Pig Destroyer's lyrics...They are all at DarkLyrics.Com...You may be surprised :)

I don't agree with Pantera being called industrail  there's nothing industrail about them at all and Tool and Alice In Chains? I'd consider them rock band nothing to do with metal.

But yeh subgenres are confusing.... I don't get what the fuck ppl are talking about at times.

Well...Whatever ya wanna call 'em...I will still always put Pantera, Alice In Chains, and Tool in the same category...I can throw Nine Inch Nails in there sometimes, too :)

And..I love them all......"A rose by any other name"...;)
