A good trvia question is to ask what movie studio made Evil of Dracula? alot of fans will say Hammer of course they are wrong and when they find out Evil of Dracula was made by Toho studios the same studio in Japan resposible forthe Godzilla movies they seem surprised. Toho has made at least a couple of Dracula movies they made Lake of Dracula in 1971 and Evil of Dracula in 1974.

Anyway, to get this back on topic....
No, I havnt seen any of the Hammer or Toho Dracula films. No exactly horror, but what about George Pal's The Time Machine? |
Hi Return the 1960 movie The Time Machine has got to be a fave scifi movie of everyone. HG wells and Jules Verne wrote some really good books that alot of movies have been made into. I would have to say when it comes to scifi movies of the 50s and 60s George Pal was the George Lucas of his day. And then you have the guy who invented the very 1st scifi movie another George french film maker Georges Melies. WOW 3 Georges who helped the advancment of film making very intersting. Actor Rod Taylor did a good job as his role of playing George. There was a remake of the Time Machine in 2002 it was directed by Simon Wells. I think HG Wells wrote the Time Machine in 1895.

Most people hated the remake, but I love both versions
How bout.... Faust [1926] |
Funny, I did see the Murnau Faust projected about six months ago (a restored print), or thereabouts, and enjoyed it immensely. I especially liked the crazy brother character, he was scary when he laughed. This was a very expensive movie!!! All sets!
|
If I am not mistaken it wasFredrich Wilhelm Murnau and Freund who made Faust in 1926 and Emil Jannings as the Devil or Mephistopheles.
|
F.W. Murnau did direct Faust.
|
Dont forget Classic that Fredrich Wilhelm Murnau real name was Plumpe.
|
He is also known as Murglie.
