Agreed about the diamond back, while they may be the same kind of toxin, they certainly are NOT the same dosage....a brown recluse has to kill an insect lets say 2-3 times bigger than itself...at MOST....
A dimond back must have enough venom to kill a rabbit or other fast moving animal and kill it FAST before it has time to run off to far, so the snake can then find it....
I watched this discovery special on venom where this guy got bit on his arm by a diamond back and tryed to walk home, but didnt make it and passed out in the desert....
His friend found him a day later and took him to the hospitol....his arm had rotted away, it seriously looked like how a body looks when they find it in a river a couple days later.....hugely bloated, purple, and bone stuck out....god, nasty....
