I think its gonna be a super explosion like krakatoa....Get outta that state and dont look back.....I feel kinda bad for all the bigfoots. We have seen this much activity since the bigfoot exodus of 82....

No I don't but there are several towns at the base of the mountain. Plus depending on how hard she blows other near by states got a lot of ash from the 1980 blast. so it's a waiting game at this point.

I hear it is supposed to be pretty bad. But of course that is all hear-say.

Malicious_Mirth 10-03-2004 05:30 PM

wow

thats huge........man i wish all the people who are near to it or have family there the best of luck........

The 1980 explosion was huge. It only killed 57 people, but it caused mass devistation. With the blow 1,370 feet of the mountain came tumbling down. After Friday's small eruption, the volcano sealed back up again causing it to build up massive pressure. There haven't been many earthquakes today, but the pressure is building like crazy. They expect it to be big, but not as big as the 1980 eruption. I figured out that I am about an hour and a half away. The blow, if large enough, will cause flooding in the city I live in, and the ash will cause a mess. We are currently on a level 3 warning, which is the highest it can go. They believe the magma is making it's way up, and there was a pretty severe volcanic tremor this morning. After the 1980 explosion some places were covered in as much as 600 feet of ash. I am not looking forward to the ash at all. The ash also moved as far east as Oklahoma. Trippy shit.

was listening to reports about the Volcano on the radio at work, and they were saying that local residents wernt taking the situation seriously enough.

I havnt been following the news much so dont know too many details on the current situation.

Rebel Yell 10-03-2004 06:36 PM

It seems to me they are taking it pretty serious. Wal Mart was packed with people trying to buy supplies yesterday. I dunno though.

i was watching the news the other day and they were talking to some sort of volcano sizemologist.. scientist or something

she siad if the blast back in 1980 was a elephant, this one is a chihuahua. not sure what that means... but she could be right then again she could be very wrong. it IS mother nature, some science and some tricksterrrrrrr

GDIS

Yeah. A lot has changed since the other day. It has built up a massive amount just today.

I thought I was a lot further than I actually am. I am only 40 minutes away at most. I am so taking pictures if it blows.
