Hey, that's great! I went to see it when it first came out too! Sat through two showings, back in the days when they didn't clear the house between shows. Ah, 1975.

I also remember standing in line that stretched around the block!

A few theaters around here show it every year although I did see it at the Drive In sometime in Spring. I preferred it at the Drive In. The theater you get people laughing at the Special Effects and that does irk me as it's still a movie that back in the day was pretty scary. I was born in 75 but I will always remember my Mom taking me to see it in 3D and it was my fave scary movie ever since. No need for CGI, rogue murderous sharks will always be scary!

I also watched Shark Night to keep the Shark theme going. What has everyone else thought of Shark Night. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it.

So surprised to hear that people were laughing at the special effects in Jaws. When I went last month, the crowd was totally sold on all aspects of the film, including the effects. It was exhilirating to watch Jaws hit every intended note with a big audience.

I like Shark Night. I'm a Donal Logue fan and a Sara Paxton fan as well. Shark Night had some decent FX and a pretty weak script, so overall it's a fun watch. I do know some people who HATE it, and they have pretty valid reasons, but for me, it's bloody, has sharks and some talent I like, so thats enough to keep me interested.

Yes it has happened twice at the theater, the annoying laughter of morons. 1 lady behind me I turned around and gave her a death look and she stopped thankfully.

People still jump on the boat scene where the corpse comes out of the hull at night. I love that about Jaws, it still scares people and can make you jump. Shark Night to me was definitely a fun watch. I loved they had a variety of sharks rather than just settling for Bull Sharks or Great Whites. Kudos for some originality

Just watched Pumpkinhead a few nights ago. I liked how it went a little deeper than most typical "get revenge" films in that the prospect of seeking vengeance could potentially destroy oneself. At least, that's how I saw it. Overall, though, I thought it was very decent. ^-^

Easily one of my favorite movies.

One of mine as well. Pumpkinhead is a seriously cool monster design and the way they light and frame him, wow! It's good storytelling and a very believable legend. Not To mention, there is a lot of Lance in this movie, and that ALMOST always elevates a film.
