Pulp Fiction- 10/10

It's a bit random, but it's definently on of the 100 best films ever IMO. Great dialogue!

Despare 04-06-2007 07:51 PM

Stranger Than Fiction

I was surprised, it wasn't exactly what I thought it would be AND it was good.

House of 1000 Corpses

Wait for it..... wait for it....

.2/10 stupid, STUPID movie... holy crap.. stupid, stupid, pathetic.

Grindhouse. 08/10

Another excellent entertainer from Tarantino & Rodriguez. The acting, the atmosphere and the direction was flawless. Fun enjoyable movie...I never realised where the time went till the end came about. Wait for a more complete detailed review in my review thread. Definitely Highly Recommended from me.

Ouch. :( I love that movie. The ending segments makes absolutely no sense and the entire movie doesn't really flow as one whole... but that's why I love it. I watch it once a year, every Halloween... it's just an atmosphere flick that works wonders. 8.5/10 for me.

alkytrio666 04-06-2007 10:12 PM

Slither (2006)

Part alien-apocolypse, part slimy creature horror, part comedy...with good, solid acting and a lot of fun gore to kick. Some of the scenes were laugh-out-loud funny, as well.

This and The Descent are the only two things horror that are worth anyone's time this decade. And Feast.

Phalanx 04-06-2007 10:15 PM

STarted watching "the covenant".
Great effects, but the characters made you give so little a shit that turning it off was inevitable. I may tolerate it on tv one day, I dunno.

Now, we saw a GOOD film last night too. Crazy.
Vince Cassel, and relative unknowns...
French film with a kinda TCM/Hostel type vibe called "SHEITAN".
I expected it to be total shit, but it was actually quite atmospheric.
So yeah if you're into the whole "crazy inbred family' shit, and
seeing things that just make you thing "ssssick", you'll probably
get a kick out of this. Plenty of weird, a strange twist, and one of
those "fuuuuck" endings...

bloodrayne 04-06-2007 10:34 PM

Lost Voyage with Judd Nelson...I didn't know anything about it going in...But, it was a really good movie...I liked it a lot

It made me remember to buy 'The Philadelphia Experiment'

Posher778 04-06-2007 11:17 PM

Jack Ass 2- 9/10 The thing is, they need more action stunts, like the knoxville rocket. I want more flying steve-o! Bah. This one had too many penises flying around, lol.

"Children of men" 8/10

A little slow to begin with, but the the last half sure picked up the pace and intensity.

Great and scary story.

Agreed. I keep getting shocked when people call it boring, and one person on here said they had to turn it off, or they fell asleep, or something.

When I saw it in theaters, I could barely blink. It's a horrifying, too-real vision.

^ Y'see... I'm pissed. Rumours of how they are going to treat the DVD have spread around the net in various forms. It seems like they are going for "remastered" versions of these films, seperated from each other.

I'm 17. Literally 3 months away from turning 18. I cannot see this film the way it was meant to be, in a theatre, because society says no. Possibly one of the greatest theatre experiences and I'm going to miss it. Piss off!

I'm hoping they release audience tracks for these films... it's part of the fun, is it not? RR did it with Sin City, and it seems even more appropriate here. Then I will at least have some redemption. :( Oh well, I'll still love them.

DEATH PROOF looks amazing. I watched the SPIKE TV behind-the-scenes and damn... the several minutes of what they showed looked brilliant. Quentin is a masterpiece at dialogue.

I don't know about the "too-real" vision. But it sure was original.

1 thing that bugged me though was Clive Owen's lack of capability to pick up a riffle/gun/etc. and become a protector enstead of just a transporter.

I missed Bruce Willis in that last half. :D

"Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!!!"

Ooooh, and you have to be 18? Haha, sucks for you, 17 down here.

Can't you sneak in? Maybe that's only possible in the Lazy USA, where no one really gives a fuck about anyone, but I used to sneak into 'R' movies all of the time.

Posher778 04-07-2007 05:20 PM

Sneaking into movie is the easiest thing ever.

300.
First time at the IMAX.
The film was good, can't say I'll rush out to buy it though.
I don't think I'll be seeing another feature film at IMAX though, or movie anyway yknow? Seemed too big.. I imagine the 3d doco stuff is pretty cool on them, but for movies? not for me.

Geddy 04-08-2007 03:33 AM

I watched about 45 minutes of the prestige last night, but I fell asleep so i'll finish it today.

VampiricClown 04-08-2007 07:16 AM

Ultraviolet

This is better than I remembered it....Considering I went with my ex-girlfriend to the theater to see it and didn't spend much time actually watching the movie.
