AMITYVILLE 2. THE POSSESSION 1982. Spoilers ahead

This movie is more of a prequel, presumably about the Ron Defeo family and the lead up to the murders.

Not bad, some pretty squeamish moments for me when the younger children were hunted down.

The ending was a bit sloppy and unresolved.

I think this the 5th Amityville sequel I've watched in the last week.

So AMITYVILLE 3 THE DEMON 1983 is still the best of them all?

Sculpt, I'm going to have to say a big yes to that. In my opinion, of all the ones I've seen, its still holding first place. And you know what? I really think Tony Roberts (who is in A3TD) looks a lot like Ron Perlman(who is not in A3TD). I'm thinking I still have 2 more to watch.

I think I have just found my newest favorite film. What a blast! One of THE best dark comedies I have seen in years.

Highly recommended to anyone who hasn't watched it yet.

The 'Burbs is a great black comedy..... Joe Dante's off-beat faux Spielberg style creates a really unique, surreal atmosphere to the whole move that really makes it stand out. So many great performances too.

THE AMITYVILLE CURSE. 1989

This house wasn't even the Amityville house but was in Amityville so I guess that was enough to put Amityville in the title. In a local bar a "poor boy that killed his whole family" was mentioned, so again a very tenuous connection.
Five friends spend a few nights in the house to fix it up and hopefully resell it.

I'd give it a miss unless you want to see some really hideous...sweaters.

Goodbye Pork Pie (1981)

"Guy steals a rental, picks up some guy and a female hitch hiker and stuff happens."
Nice aussie road movie.

Been of my favorite movies ever since I first saw it as a kid.
It's great in so many ways. All ways actually.
Timeless classic!

Saw THE 'BURBS many years ago and not crazy about, especially that annoying neighbor! Since a lot of you seem to like it, may have to give it another look over.
