SCARECROWS 1988

After a 3 million dollar heist, a gang of robbers, who appear almost military-like, end up chasing down one of their own in a deserted, scarecrow infested farm/plantation/lodge???

I liked it. Nothing super but the scarecrows were pretty decent.

Maniac
First viewing. Better than I expected.
If anyone can recommend any similar movies, I would appreciate it.

Already did.
Didn't like it that much as it focuses more on the victims than on the killer.
But thanks for your suggestion.

It is better than I thought too, but my wife HATES it...
As mentioned, THE PROWLER not bad. You might want to check out NIGHTMARE (1981) AKA NIGHTMARE IN A DAMAGED BRAIN which is similar and even more grimy in spots than MANIAC.

SHOCK WAVES (1977). While the premise sounds silly (underwater Nazi zombies), this is a pretty good little flick that is quite creepy. Peter Cushing::cool:: and John Carradine also in here. ***1/2

The Lair of the White Worm (1988)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...white_worm.jpg

Just watched this on FEARnet On Demand and was surprised at how young Peter Capaldi looks. I almost didn't recognize him. Capaldi plays an archaeologist who unearths an unusually large snake skull. Legend tells that it was slain by the ancestor of Hugh Grant's character. The sexy villainess played by Amanda Donohoe is actually an immortal vampire priestess. She steals the skull and plans to sacrifice a virgin to her snake god Dionin. It's all the fun of a Hammer Film without actually being a Hammer movie. The specials effects are pretty low budget and there's a little bad acting but other than that it's a really solid B-movie.

If that's the one with the crazy flamethrower dude, I've seen it.
Pretty good from what I remember.
And speaking of flamethrowers, they don't use them enough in movies.
