Yeah had a blast with I Drink Your Blood lots of fun one I'll watch again.

I quite like both of these myself and found IDYB to be pretty audacious.
Both flicks appeal to the lowest common denominator, but that's probably what fans of this sort of entertainment like.

DEAD AND BURIED (1981). Unfairly overlooked little "B" movie that is pretty interesting, intelligent and a couple of good wallops in there. The last move for Oscar winner Jack Albertson (AKA "The Man" from CHICO AND THE MAN), an early performance for Robert Englund and am pretty sure it's Lisa Marie as the hitchhiker. ***1/2

SILENT NIGHT, BLOODY NIGHT 1974

I'm sure I must have seen this before because some parts seemed familiar. Most of it was dark and grainy but that made for good atmosphere. A young man arrives in town to sell his grandfather's deserted but maintained mansion. Unfortunately, at the same time, a deranged killer makes his escape from a local asylum.

Apocalypse Now redux
Brilliant movie, one of my favorites.
Even more interesting if you read some of the background info on the production problems.
Still have to watch the documentary Heart Of Darkness.

Platoon
Another gem. And what a cast!
It's sad Oliver Stone never got around to make Pinkville, a movie about the Mỹ Lai Massacre.

Along with Full Metal Jacket I'd say these are the only good Vietnam movies.
It's sad there aren't more.
I hope one day HBO will make series about Vietnam in the same style they made Band Of Brothers, The Pacific and Generation Kill.

THE HIDDEN (1987). Great film of a shape shifting anti social alien who likes fast cars, heavy metal music and hot strippers! Lots of action, humor and good performances. ****

PIN (1988)

A recently orphaned teenage brother and sister share the family home with a medical dummy named Pin.
Not horrible, I kept waiting for some strange twist..there wasn't..but I was okay with the ending.
