I do like that one. FINALLY shows what the monsters are really thinking...
Surprised this one has not been remade.

Actually it has - they did a terrible remake of it in 1996. It is much tamer than the original (it was made for TV). Roger Corman was also Ex. Producer on this one too (as far as I remember he did pretty much the same thing with Piranha a year earlier). You can spot Walton Goggins in an early role.

'The Dark Crystal' (1982)

Plot: On another planet in a distant past a young Gelfling embark on a quest to find the missing shard of a magical crystal, and restore order to his world

Phantoms Review; This is the first time I've seen this movie in close to thirty years, and it holds up wonderfully. No CGI here, this is classic filmmaking, meticulously made, good story telling and wonderful performances from the Jim Henson company. A wonderful fantasy for the whole family.

Thanks for the info...had no idea it was done and as usual, the remake seems to be a misfire::sad::.

ALIENS (1986). Still an awesome and incredible roller coaster ride. Have got the special edition with almost 20 extra minutes. *****

Childhood favorite. Always a hoot to watch Louis Gossett Jr as an alien lizard.
Made by the Neverending Story guy, and the resemblances between both films in some of the cinematographic shots is uncanny.
