 I just wanted to mention, as I run out to do errands:  BEWARE! THE BLOB deserves a mention.  Maybe it'll win a round, and maybe it won't (it's a very misunderstood spoof).  But it is one of my favorites from the 70's, partly because it really represents the 70's.  At least, for me it does! 
	Oh! And I also wanted to mention that as a curious coincidence, Christopher Lee is now facing off against himself, in a way. For scenes requiring the horrible monster to hang from wire rigs (descending from the ceiling of the ship; hanging up in the rafters; the final harpooning scene) the alien in Alien was played by stuntman Edwin Powell--who many times was Christopher Lee's stunt double in the Hammer Dracula films!  |
