Whooooooooo - boy. Where to begin with this disaster?...

...

Utter fail, to be honest. Can't believe this was by the same guy who did Martyrs. Oy.

2/5.

Saw Tall Man recently too. I'm going to rewatch it because I think it was good, I just thought it would be horror. It was certainly just a dark drama.

ATM - I had heard a lot of buzz about this one. Good movie, though containing some logical flaws. Really suspenseful and gives a good non-supernatural scare. An interesting and unexpected way of revealing the killer. Definitely worth a rent.

A notch down from ATM. Started out somewhat lame then picked up some steam as the film went on, then a confused conclusion. Very similar to the other possession films that have been making the rounds in recent years. Some creepy moments.

Apartment 143

Filmed "found footage" style, a movie about a man and his two kids possibly being haunted by his dead wife. All in all it was ok, there were some cheap scare moments and it gets to them pretty early in the film. Could be classified as a possession film in a sense. The ending though, wow... pretty stupid.

I couldn't disagree with you more. What a terrible movie.

"Smiley" 4-5/10

Only 2 good things to say about Smiley.

1. The horror character Smiley is pretty great. Think a blend between Scream and Candyman.
2. Keith David had a small role in it. He's always a fun watch. Too bad he didn't have the lead role and this movie might have been good.

What ruined this movie for me was all the rest of the actors and the repetitive story. The story should have been a LOT better with a character like Smiley.

There's still a chance this could become a new franchise tho. Got potential.
