One of the best scenes I ve ever seen in any superhero movie yet.

Super Troopers

This is my 3rd or 4th time seeing this & it's still managing to entertain me. It's funny from start to finish & to date, is still Broken Lizard's best film. I gave it an A- the first time I graded it on here & I'll stick with that grade this time around. Very entertaining.

A-

The Hills Have Eyes 2

Not as good as the original at all. There were a few parts that were just too stupid to believe (How the hell can 9 people ALL forget that it's daylight savings time? That's simply ridiculous, but it's what causes them to be late & in turn causes them to decide on taking the dreaded Hillbilly Horror film shortcut.) I also didn't like how much Pluto spoke in this one. The gore was good looking, but pretty tame. From who would survive to how the villain would be killed at the end, this film was easy to predict from less than 10 minutes into it. One thing I did like though was which character they decided to use from the original film. That was unique. In all, this is definately not one of Wes Craven's better films.

The King of Comedy

You dont really hear much about this Scorcese/DeNiro flick, but I thought it was great. DeNiro is fantastic as always and Jerry Lewis was incredible (though he was, admittedly, playing a version of himself). Great movie.

"Boogeyman" 5/10

Second viewing, but this time on dvd.

Saw the original ending in the "Deleted scenes" and i seriously don't understand why the director didn't go with that one???

Not that it was a "good" ending, but it was a HELLUVA lot better than the chosen alternative.

Other than that my opinions about this movie stays the same. Good jumps, good horror story, Barry Watson is flawless in the lead role and perfectly casted. And the ending still ruins it all....

Aliens- Extended

It seems to just drag on and on with nothing happening. It's a great film, but, 2 and a half hours for aliens is too much. It is a lot like dog soldiers, but Aliens is a lot less abundant in the fun factor. Great action, when present, and great finale. This doesn't even come within 40650912650612094560246590126 miles of the original.

300 (2007)

Very cool, very entertaining, and visually stunning. Was it as good as Sin City? No. But it's a nice eye-popping war epic that most will enjoy.

The visuals are absolutely breathtaking. One of the finest looking movies ever made, if there was one. This is going to be one of the big jaw-droppers of 2007.

The Manchurian Candidate (1962)

Brilliant movie. Amazingly well written, directed and acted...its a little slow in places, but it doesnt detract very much.

The Punisher

It was good. Lacking in actual fights but good nonetheless. Great skull/car thing.

Hellboy

I always LOVE this movie. It's extremely dark though, kinda depresses me. I do have one question, however. What is the significance of the giant octopi things in space? What exactly are the for, what are they doing, everything about them.

They do explain it pretty well in the movie, but for more detail I recomend checking out some of Lovecraft's stuff: Call of Cthulhu , Dagon, ect. Those "giant octopi things in space" are heavily influenced (if not 100% based on) the Lovecraftian "Great Old Ones".

Yeah, we had family movie night. I love it, and it's just about my wife's favorite. And my 5 year old was enthralled, which was great to see.

Alien Resurrection

This is one HELL of a ride, I love this movie. It's fine for a sequel, I dunno why lots of people I know hate it... It's completely un *alien* style, but it's fun as fuck and there's lots of Alien stuff, unlike aliens... where there was nothing for almost an hour and a half... And Alien 3 which I still haven't gotten through... They continued the story ok, and the actors, at least the lead ones, are good. Weaver and Winona Ryder! Great twist too, amazing water scene, long too.

Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

My dad always talks about how he saw this at a drive-in when he was a kid and how badly it scared him. Well I finally got to see it for myself, and I wasnt at all let down. Very creepy movie, I loved it!

Ah, good. I was waiting anxiously for you to see that one.

Now: Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte (1964). Great companion film- same cast, same style, chilling movie. Check it out.

The title of this movie sounded really cheesy & hokey.....so I thought it might be fun.
