Yeah, that is definitely one of my BOTTOM TOP 5. Long and boring as all get out. I put that movie in when I have insomnia. Puts me right out every time.

As others have said though Exorcist III is a great movie.

You guys are crazy. I would post a pic of Milla Jovovich in Purple Magazine but I'm sure it's against policy.

The Thing from Another World

I've been holding off on watching this movie. I started watching this yesterday but unfortunately something came up. However the first 30 minutes or so were easily better than the recent version. But I don't think it will top Carpenter's version.

I got to watch Ip Man 2 last night. I didn't like it as much as the first but I still enjoyed it. I understood why they went the route they did though. During that time period when Ip Man moved to Honk Kong you did have a lot of that British vs. Chinese sentiments going on. Ip Man didn't fight a British Boxer as far as I know in real life, but it works on that Rocky 4 mentality. They were being oppressed and here, one "humble" Chinese man stands up for the whole country and beats the arrogance and vanity of the ruling class into the ground. Movies like that always sell tickets especially if you live in the country that was being oppressed.

Go ahead and post it. As long as it does not contain nudity or softcore/hardcore stuff, it's permissible.

As for Milla Jovovich...

Yum.

Watching the Joy Ride duo recently made me dig into my DVDs and pull out one of my favorites of the 90s...

Still as excellent as I remembered it. Yes it resembles Spoorloos and The Duel a bit, but still stands on it's own, and surprisingly stands the test of time as well.
Superb little edgy nail-biter. Recommended to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Just watched Let Me In, I found it to be spectacular. Onto Bride of Frankenstein.

I don't really have a problem with Milla. I have a problem with the RE franchise.

She neither saves it or ruins it for me.

^^ Yep, gotta agree with you on both points.

The Corridor (2010)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps2f3d0b4a.jpg

This is one of those rare, quality indie horror flicks. While it does have its faults (someone who shaved his head instead of having bald makeup, for example... And at some some pretty poorly exposition), it's unique, has genuinely creepy moments, and had enough mystery and weirdness that I was just glued to the screen.

When I say "quality little indie horror flicks," it's of the same ilk of Dead End, yellowbrickroad, The Caller, etc.

I would say that the only dissatisfying part of the film was the ending, but it's probably because the story was so bizarre I'm not sure how they could have made it satisfying (and believe me there were a couple of cliched places that it could have gone but it didn't), so definitely cheers to that. Reminded me a LOT of yellowbrickroack in that it's bizarre, keeps your interest, and the end leaves you sort of perplexed.

Honestly, when it came down to it I really liked this. Wish that more horror films split the mold like this. Hats off.

3.75/5.
