FIRST UPDATE


Good morning contestants...I have in my possession ALL but TWO of the entries at the moment. The deadline expires in a little over 3 and a quarter hours, so I suggest to those two contestants - better hurry with your entries.

I can tell that this time around, it is going to be a MIGHTY interesting Round 4 in The Hunting Season Zone.

In other developments, Doc Faustus has been given treatment for his very deep injuries, and remains in a very grave condition. We are still not sure if he can recover from those rather brutal stab wounds.

I can see this thing lasting a LOT longer than I had firt imagined. It's been over a week, we all have more health packs than we started with and only three people have been killed. There'll probably be a few more after this challenge but still. Only on the 4th challenge and already nearly 1 and a half thousand posts!

We did our best in trying to save him, but he was stabbed way too many times and had lost a lot of blood, plus those deep gashes just couldn't heal in time.

RESULTS OF HDC BATTLE ROYALE CHALLENGE #4


Welcome - Monsters, Mad Killers and Chainsaws, to the Results meeting.

Since this was an individual challenge, there were quite a few which caused some confusion. Let me clarify one thing, you were supposed to name the movie in which the said item / stuff / personality was prominently shown. Some of you went for background music, others sent me a general answer to a specific question...both of those missed the mark.

First of all, the correct answers :

THE HUNTING SEASON - ROUND 4


I now release ALL the Mad Killers, 2 Monsters and 6 Chainsaws into The Hunting Season Zone.

Eight hunters who scored the perfect 10 in Challenge #4 - Cactus, Despare, VampiricClown, FerretChucker, Urgeok2, Fortunato, Elvis Christ and The Mothman - are hereby given a ROCKET LAUNCHER each.

Each one of those carries ONE SINGLE rocket.

You may choose your recipient of the rockets, regardless of group ethnicity. Remember, you can inflict some serious damage in this Round of hunting, because an impact from a rocket is equivalent to 5 bullets worth damage!!

(Which means, send me a PM regarding which contestant is the recipient of your fired rocket)

Also, be mindful, you CAN NOT CHOOSE ANOTHER HUNTER TO BE THE RECIPIENT OF YOUR ROCKET!! If you do so, the launcher will lock up and not fire, and you will face the penalty of not firing your rocket.

Also, failure to fire even a single rocket launcher will mean ALL EIGHT OF YOU will be shot SIX TIMES by the snipers in the watchtowers!

I got most of my answers from a page already here on the board.It was called the item game and about seven of the answers where in there.I did a google search for the blockbuster video question and the third option that came up on t he search was the page for that item game.

The letter which I received yesterday night, was from a certain person who has expressed their interest to replace Doc Faustus in The Monsters Squad after Round 4 of The Hunting Season Zone is over.

He / She will be joining The Monsters, accordingly, and will take over from Doc Faustus' position.

Since Doc "gifted" his health packs for The Hunting Season, if they are used up, this contestant will start with nothing. If they are not used, he / she will be getting Doc's health packs.

Who is this mysterious contestant? Wait and keep watching this thread.

seems unlikely but who's gonna shoot someone they dont know over a huge threat when they have this much power?

The Hunt...Is...ON!

Yup, I knew it...I had Raimi's M.A.N.T.I.S. for the car, because that was what the entire film was about, I had a difficult time choosing between M.A.N.T.I.S. and Evil Dead, but the car was more prominent in M.A.N.T.I.S., still that's sci-fi/action/crime drama...So, I took my time in screwing up...lol

Did the same thing with the laser drill...Chose a 1968 Peter Cushing film that was almost CENTERED around a laser drill (Carnage AKA Laser Killer)...But, should have gone with the OBVIOUS

Oh well...I figured it wouldn't matter since only the person who got the correct answers in FIRST could 'win'...I didn't know that all-correct answerers would become the HUNTERS, otherwise I would have thought it out more carefully.

At least I got Rave To The Grave when others were just choosing Return Of The Living Dead (that's what Dustin did :p).

I'll definitely be more careful next time.
