The Sitter
Actually really funny. Jonah Hill delivers another hilarious performance.

Invaders From Mars (86)
This used to terrify me as a kid but now i find it kinda silly, but in a good way.

I'm not sure but may be that almost expressionless, fade Twilight girl had some contribution to make the film an utterly boring watch.

The director seemed to dig her

And Halloween 2 is not even close to the original. Multiple viewings will confirm this.

I'd say its a little wrong to say this as this is more of opinion. I agree with him IMO that the second one is almost as good as the first. I think if they would have stopped at just the first 2 it would have gone down as a much more respectable set of movies.

Freddy vs Jason.

It's on for free so I watched bits and pieces again. I think the idea of kids fighting both Freddy and Jason is good. Just that Freddy and Jason should not fight. That is what's stupid. The movie does have some good scenes. The opening at Crystal Lake is great. Maybe second or tied for the best nude swimming scene with the one in Friday the 13th Part 2. The songs during the credits are good. There are many funny lines. They probably should have figured out a way to keep Katharine Isabelle's character. She's a good actress and steals the show for the opening 1/4. It's kind of similar to Katie Cassidy in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. Even though Rooney Mara was in the Nightmare remake I think her dislike of the movie probably affected her performance. The Nightmare remake did suck. Largely because of the people behind the scenes.

I wouldn't be against another Friday the 13th / Nightmare on Elm Street movie or comic for that matter provided the right people were in charge.

Pontypool

All the action takes place in a radio station in a small canadian town as the station staff try to learn whats causing violent attacks all over their region.
Good slant on a common virus epidemic type story, the second hand nature of learning whats going on worked for me,as phone calls with eyewitnesses and interviews with other media outlets slowly fill in the gaps.

Defo worth a view.

Well, now that you're here, are you going to join in on Battle Royale?
