Marianne (2011)

This Swedish Indie feature centers around Krister, a man who is left to raise a newborn baby whilst coping with a teenage daughter who blames him for the recent death of his wife on a car crash. In the midst of his family falling apart, Krister suffers sleep paralysis and gradually becomes convinced (with the help of his daughter's ghost hunter boyfriend) that it may be the work of a Mare that is haunting him for 'some reason'.
Not bad but this is more of a slow burn psychological-family drama than a horror story. The few ghostly encounters of the Mare, comes almost vaguely but I think the same thing is better suited for someone like J-Horror master Takashi Shimizu who could treated the same story in a more creepier fashion (at the same time maintaining the drama part nicely) as an episode of a TV series or anthology.

Avatar- 7/10

It's not bad by any means, but for such a massive movie, there's not too much going on. It's just a huge budget Fern Gully. "Greatest adventure movie of all time?" Highly debatable.

Prometheus was much better in my opinion.

The Craft.

It's about girl witches and it has a few horror moments. I watched this because it has Neve Campbell. Also, a review of a movie I can't remember basically said it was like The Craft. I wish I remembered the movie. Maybe it was that TV show Secret Circle. Who knows. Overall, the movie was ok. It would probably be a lot better if I was a teenage girl with high school problems.

Haven't seen Prometheus yet but Avatar deserves a much higher rating, in fact, I give it 10/10.

There's nothing to it. The story is so linear and predictable a 6 year old could tell you how it would play out. It's just pretty and action packed. I don't dislike it, but the hype is purely due to how flashy it is.

Leprechaun 4 : In SPace

Hey did he get into outer space? It was never explained. Worst of the series so far. Only 2 to go, I hope they make a little more sense. because the leprechaun character is awesome.

4.5/10

Lep in Space was pretty good, disturbing horror. Not sure if you'll like Lep in the Hood.
