I watched the remake of Fright night with Colin Farrell.I quite enjoyed it,although it kinda played like an episode of Buffy the vampire slayer..no real depth of characters .
I did enjoyed the range of movement displayed by the vampire after he was staked by the main characters mum. That was aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

I was in and out of the room making dinner as it didnt really hold my attention and was still able to pick up where id left off.
I was more interested in figuring out where id seen the actress that played Amy from...(28 weeks later ).That kept my brain sharp and prevented it from dripping from my ears.

Loved it, it was funny and amusing. No need for dislike. Not to mention a really well made suspense scene in the middle.

Battle Royale- 5/10

I can't give it better than that. I think all the obsessor reviews and quotes from famous directors saying how amazing it is are just publicized junk. I don't hate the movie, it's entertaining, but it's just that... Entertaining. It doesn't teach about oppressive governments, it barely even hints at that. It's just kids fighting, and sometimes over hilariously stupid things. "You slept with my boyfriend!" *stab*. Not to mention the total lack of realism in the fights just kills it for me. Small children shot over and over with an smg who get right back up and talk and move... Blah.

^^ Try the book, Posh. I think you'll really dig it. Gives a lot more background to the characters and the oppressive government.

Might be had to view out of context, too, especially by a seasoned horror viewer. It still stuns me that it was made in Japan in 2000; might seem passé by American standards, but it was really risqué and controversial, especially in the wake of the book's controversy.

Jack Frost...for all of the simplicity and rather humorous nature of the film, I found some scenes to have a rather sadistic originality to them, if not just being downright comically deviant.

Hellraiser: Inferno (2000)

As the fifth installment in the series, not bad as I expected. Though Pinhead got little screen time & the story added nothing new to the franchise or not as gory & violent as earlier Hellraiser films but still as a psychologically twisted horror feature, I kinda liked it. :o
