And that's why Newb gets my vote as "Funniest member" this year.

Doesn't take much, but a kick in the groin is a kick in the groin. ;) :D

Killer’s Moon (1978)
Controversial British Slasher Shocker that back in its day clearly pushed the boundaries of what could be shown in a movie. It does not break as many taboos (in fact it's only one taboo really) as more recent offerings have but you have to admire a film that dared to push the boundaries of horror and is still a pretty harrowing experience in its own right. There is no gore and the most violent scene involves faked animal cruelty that is delivered as a jump scare rather than being gratuitous (I’m not going to reveal what taboo this film breaks, I just want to note that it’s not non-simulated animal cruelty). Even as a stand-alone slasher this film is very unconventional-since it is given at the start that the killers’ are four escaped mental patients who have been given experimental drugs that make them think they are in a perpetual dream and not experiencing real life. The focus is quite neutral, displaying a point of view that is neither solely of the killers’ or victims’ rather than having the camera view being that of a killer stalking their victim. This means that you don’t get any psychedelic or surreal dream sequences which this film doesn’t really need anyway.
To summarise this film is only for the more adventurous horror fans and you may need to have a shower after watching it.

Killers Moon is an amazing film - so fucking strange. The whole tripping bit is so unique. The Killers looked kinda like Droogs too,

This is one of my personal fave films.

You're right there's nothing like it, I haven't been able to get it out of my head all day.

rewatched a couple in anticipation of the sequels

The Expendables ---mindless fun and the sequel looks to amplify that

Taken--- Liam Neeson as an action hero...who would have thunk it...but it works

also Bad Ass---Danny Trejo kicking ass...not up to par with Machete, but worth a watch [netflix instant]
