... *SIGH* - Catching up on this thread is giving me a LOT of movies that I want to watch... But Netflix doesn't have the collection of indie horror that it used to. You're making me jealous. :( Angra, V, Roshiq - How do you check out the movies that you do? Download? Bittorrent? ... The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...gon_tattoo.jpg Probably would have liked this more if I hadn't seen the 2009 Swedish version first, which I thought was very good. That being said, I thought that Rooney Mara was a GREAT Lisbeth (who I totally want to DO right now), though I thought Daniel Craig to be a little stiff. I don't know - Maybe the movie tried to cover too much but I felt as though it was missing something - Can't really put my finger on it (could just be that I liked the 2009 version so much that I felt as though watching this was just "going through the motions" and waiting for plot points to unveil themselves). And, is it me, or did they not explain the significance of the dried flowers at the end? They are, after all, what kicks off the movie... The explanation in the 2009 version was great I thought. Anyhoo - I thought it just OK, but probably because it was overshadowed by the other version. Probably going to watch the other movies in the series right now. :D |

As for the movie, what you said seems to be what i'm hearing everyone else say. It's not making me want to watch the movie very much which is fine because i saw the original and loved it. |

monster brawl
was alright.was the silly kinda movie i expected. thought they could have made some of the monsters better, especially vampire lady, should have been a more original looking dracula.and they could have had more monster fights and with a bit more gore to them |
Cleanskin (2012)
http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/.../Cleanskin.jpg >>: B+ The Thirteenth Floor (1999) http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...nthfloorbd.jpg Always love this kinda simulated reality-mind fuck stories. Overall, a beautiful film indeed with a simple but effective plot, loosely based on Daniel F. Galouye's Simulacron-3 (1964). Inception fans should check this out if you still haven't seen it yet. >>: A- |
You should watch "eXistenZ" too if you like films along these lines.
Personally I thought the 13th floor was more enjoyable to watch than Inception, any day. |

Cheebacheeba I'm with you on Existenz brilliant film one of Cronenberg's more underrated films-I wanted to kill Jude Law though he nearly ruined it with with his ham performance but then I always want to kill Jude Law so that's not surprising |
