Though I'd say if you didn't like this one, definitely don't see Annabelle.

Agreed. It wasn't.

There was maybe about 6 jump scares in the whole movie. (Just saw it to be sure)

I tend to call all jump scares cheap, but I see what Giganticface is sayin, that there are different levels of cheapness in jump scares. James Wan is certainly at the lowest levels as he actually DO try to make an effort and often tries to make long build-ups up to each jump scare.

That being said, I still think all jump scares are cheap, as you can have the audience watching two people having a conversation, a girl sleeping or a freakin tree, and suddenly BAM!!!, cut to a little cute bunny accompanied by loud music or noise, and you have yourself a successful jump scare, coz People's brain doesn't expect that. In my book that's just too easy and I'm honestly really tired of the overuse. It's like all creepy atmospheric build-ups has to end with a jump scare nowadays. Heck, a guy like James Wan has made it his trademark.

I've only seen it once. I'm probably just remember it wrong or getting it mixed up with another movie

True.

One of my favorite scary movies is Salems Lot and it does contain one cheap ass jump scare and another one less cheap. But thas alright as the rest of the movie consists of slow creepy terror and genuinely scary scenes.

The Blood test scene in The Thing is a classic jump scare... Always gets me. ::smile::

"As Good as it Gets" 9/10

Still funny.

Vice, 2015. 6/10

Thumb resize.

Mix a tad of Total Recall, a smidgen of Terminator, and a dash of Westworld and here you go, but mediocre at best.

The only saving factor in this mess is the lovely Thomas Jane. : )

HALLOWEEN: THE INSIDE STORY 2010

Documentary on the making of the movie "Halloween". Would like to see a few others to be able to compare it to, but all in all, it was very interesting.

Wasn't a total waste, I wanted to see what was going to happen. Very vague start.

Bill Oberst Jr. is amazing in any part he plays. He becomes that character.
