I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It was a low budget, cheezy movie that was a very enjoyable watch. I would reccomend this one to anyone who wants a sit down and jump right in movie.

8/10

Yeah, I was pleasently surprised with that one, too. A lot of fun.

But don't citicize it too much. I thought it did a pretty good job of what it was doing as far as being creepy and confusing the shit out of you into a really odd ending. And it was a bit funny on the side.

Didn't find it creepy. But i found it quite entertaining. :)

1 thing that really bugged me though, (and what bugs me in all movies that does it) was the way the movie avoided to show any of the "supposedly" gory juicy details to the viewers. THAT LOW-BUDGET TRICK FUCKING STINKS!!!

True that. One thing I can say about that is that in some cases, it makes movies a little more creepy. Take "The Blair Witch Project" for example. It's not what you see that scares you, it's what you don't see.

Hrmf!... Speak for yourself.

I hated the blair witch project. Probably for the same reasons.

Oh, I didn't really care for it myself. I gave it a 6/10 because if one wasn't to know it was a hoax, it would be scary. But most people I've talked to are scared of it. And I was expecting something to be shown in the film, but it never was. Which has since lead me to that conclusion. But hey, whatever stops your heart beat. :D

Masters Of Horror: Imprint

Ok, like OMCDave said, this movie was pretty screwed up. Not as screwed up as something like, say, Cannibal Holocaust, but still pretty bad. Good story and acting though, and a few gross out scenes.

8/10

Taxi Driver.

Very boring and I didn't watch the end eventhough I knew that was going to be the best/main part of the movie. Love De Niro but it bored me.

Going to watch Full Metal Jacket today maybe, I have actually never seen it but I love Vincent D'onofrio.

Niether of these are horror - I think the last horror I watched was SawIII and I loved it.

I loved Blair Witch for this reason. I love to go camping and it would be so f-ed up if I was lost in the woods and couldn't find my way out, kept going in circles and wierd shit was left outside my tent etc.

I'm not much either, just Jurassic Park and its sequel.

Masters Of Horror: Deer Woman

Alright, I liked this film and no, it wasn't because of the tits. This one had the most humor out of the ones I've seen so far, and it had a good story....Kind of a disapointing ending though.

A great night on AMC:

"Open Range" (Kevin Costner, Robert Duvall)
"The Quick And The Dead" (Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman)
"High Plains Drifter" (Clint Eastwood)
"The Fighting Kentuckian" (John Wayne, Oliver Hardy)

Even though AMC edits their movies and shows too many commercials, it's still fun to sit back and watch one of their mini-marathons.

The Marine

Robert Patrick was entertaining and there's a Terminator reference that cracked me up a bit. Other than that it's exactly what it appears to be...a mindless action movie. Justa bunch of bullets and explosions.

Despare 02-18-2007 09:01 PM

Jeremiah Johnson

One of my favorite Robert Redford movies and probably my favorite Sydney Pollack film.

oh, dont be such a square. did you honestly watch this expecting GOOD acting?
this movie was awesome. Nothing spews the 1980's like Demons. Riding around on a motorcycle with blazing metal in the background, hacking up demons with a sword, while saving a hot broad in the process. c'mon now. thats cool. :)

Letters From Iwo Jima (2006)

Compassionate, humane, beautiful, amazing.
Probably the second best movie of the year.

Don't get me wrong, it was FUN. But it's definently stupid as hell... it's so flawed

I seriously can't even begin to tell you how much I loved it.

It places Eastwood up there in the top Hollywood directors for me, easily. Do yourself a favor and see this film.

Look who you're telling, I've been dying to see it for a year now. It didn't even open here until the nomination, and ever since, I just haven't had the time. I'm trying to get there asap.

Very............ very.................... slow.

But the odd feel throughout the entire movie kept my enterest. And i must admit that i was shocked about the ending. :)

No, i've never seen the original.

1 question though.

Is it just me, or was Cage's teeth whiter than normal?
