Grits are a porridge made from coarse ground corn, they have a nice texture and you can flavor them with anything, literally anything, grits are the best food ever, it is like what oatmeal wishes it was. :D

It's (Canadian) Thanksgiving. I woke up early and baked 2 pumpkin pies, 1 apple pie and 1 chocolate pie. put squash in the oven. Turkey and stuffing will be done in about an hour and then I have to cook potatoes, veggies and make gravy. MMMmmm can't wait to eat it.

I'll tell ya...I've come up with this sausage-flavored polenta thing...I kinda whip them up together and use a lime cilantro sausage that is actually on the fairly spicy side, you definitely notice it. And it's darn good! That and some coffee.
