From Dusk Til Dawn 3: The Hangmans Daughter

Out of the trilogy, this one was probably my favorite. The first one is probably the more appealing one to the general public, but I liked this one and the first as runner up. The second wasn't as good as these.

8.5/10

The second only had the creative camera-work going for it.

That and Bruce Campbell.

I can agree with that. But like I stated earlier, Campbells part should have been bigger.

Some of the explosions were nice too.:D

It was certainly very good, but I might have let expectations surpass enjoyment. I enjoyed Fight Club much more.

strange but I take it to consideration....

What didnt you like about it?

I didnt think it was amazing or anything, but I'd give it a solid 7/10 or so. Good acting, good plot, well paced and a good twist or two...I liked it.

Anyway.

I was at a 12-hour rehearsal today for my school musical (Fiddler on the Roof)....most of the scenes we worked on were scenes that Im not in, so I spent most of the day backstage watching bits and pieces of whatever everyone else was watching:

- Chapelle's Show (Around 5-6 episodes, Season 2)

- Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (Didnt see all of it, but what I saw was decent enough)

- Rent (I love Rent...great music. La Vie Boheme!)

- High School Musical (What God-awful dreck. Thank God I was actually needed on stage through most of the time they were watching this...I saw more than enopugh to file it under "garbage". Horrible acting, worse writing, all the songs sounded the same...and that damn "go with the status quo" has got tp be the STUPIDEST message that Ive ever heared.)

- Fiddler on the Roof (We had the movie version going for awhile...I'll have to check it out once we finish our version, seems pretty good. I can already vouch for it being a great story with great music, haha.)

It was a good day...actually got ALOT of work done, despite having so much time to hang around watching movies.

Terrifying.

Makes me sick that there are people on this site who can poke fun at a tragedy like this.

I found 16 Blocks to be just another stupid pg13 action film. It was just boring. Not much my taste.

However

The Italian Job

good fun. Stallone and Kurt Russel team-up 80's cop flick. nice and cheesy.

Idiocracy

The concept of this film was awesome, but it wasn't executed to it's full potential, probably because Dax Sheppard is a very good actor. Luke Wilson is great though & Mike Judge really came up with a good idea for a film here. It's very vulgar & probbaly offensive to most people, but it's still pretty damn funny. I was entertained.

B

Freak Out

This one is extremely low budget, but it's done fairly well. There's some editing issues & a lot of the British humor will probably fall flat for Americans like me that just won't get some of the jokes. Horror afcionados will get a kick out the multiple homages paid to various horror films (Evil Dead, Psycho etc..) but the ending was kinda lame and because of their budget, almost all of the gore takes place just off screen followed by a splash of blood that we can see.

It was good, but not great. They did well with the budget they had though.

"Dead end" 6/10

A rather repetitive horror movie, that most of the time is being held up by good and rather funny dialogue and lines. The acting isn't bad either.

Didnīt get the ending though???

*SPOILER ALERT*

The daughter wakes up at the hospital. The nurse has the same name as the sign on the road. Aparently the family's car has crashed into something and everybody except the daughter has died...

So what the hell did we witness the first 1 hour and 20 minutes????

Heh, it did it's job apparently. The guy in the hearse was killing off the rest of the family and made it seem like it was all a dream to the girl.

"House of 9" 4/10

Cliche story, cliche (Annoying) characters, cliche - bad dialogue and semi-bad actors. Not even Dennis Hopper's half-hearted try as an Irish priest saves anything.

The only good thing i can mention about House of 9 is the last minute of the movie, that made me wish it was only halfway through at that point..... But no. Maybe a sequal is coming up. Yikes..

VampiricClown 02-18-2007 07:23 AM

The Blair Witch Project

I have been waiting forever to see this film, but sadly, I already knew it was a fake before I started watching it. If I had not known that, this would have been a very scary movie.

I thought it was lame at first as well....It will start to grow on you.

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It was a low budget, cheezy movie that was a very enjoyable watch. I would reccomend this one to anyone who wants a sit down and jump right in movie.

Still doesn't make a lot of sense.

Why would he do that? What would be his motive? And what about the sign and the fact that the time stands still and they are constantly going nowhere.

Maybe the Hearse driver in black is actually mr. DEATH and the time all the clocks stopped is the time where the family crashed their car and, 1 by one, dies of the damages. Get it?

Did i get that right??

VampiricClown 02-18-2007 07:28 AM

Resident Evil

Despite what I think a lot of people would say about this movie, I thought it was pretty good. Not really any following story to the game, but it was good.

That's pretty much what I made of it.

But don't citicize it too much. I thought it did a pretty good job of what it was doing as far as being creepy and confusing the shit out of you into a really odd ending. And it was a bit funny on the side.

That's what I thought. When I got through watching it, I was thinking....What a stupid movie. But now, the longer it's been without me seeing it, I'm almost about to plug it in again.
