Heard great things about this but couldnt seem to get too into it. Although Oldman was very good i think i was expecting more from it, Ill def be giving it another shot though.

Anyone else kinda feel unimpressed with it....

*raises hand* Right here! Saw it in the theater when it came out and felt disappointed by the money I spent on it. However, like you, I will give it another shot on DVD.

Weird - I really liked. Great cast. I did expect it to be a slow burn though. I really want to see the original now.

I really can't imagine anyone who has kids saying something like 'albert fish is nice too. ' - Its not the first thing I would say about a guy who rapes little children.

They're not interesting like some weirdo you meet at a bar. They're interesting because they're inhuman. How does that happen to people? Were they born like that, or did they become that way. maybe if we found out why, things could be prevented in the future. rather than just to say "their bad people lets just lock them up and ignore everything". That doesn't do any good.

Personally speaking, I've been against every war my country has ever been involved with (even when it wasn't trendy to feel that way), and I"m an animal lover. So any idea that I think serial killers or killing is "cool" is laughable. I dig the contrasts of life, and serial killers are the biggest contrast to who I am, so for that alone I'm fascinated. When I say a certain serial killer is my favorite, it has nothing to do with me liking that person, it has to do with being confounded by there actions.

Also, Albert Fish never raped Grace Budd. He just butchered her and ate her.

Watched "Chicago Massacre: Richard Speck". The movie was terrible, and poorly acted, but there's an actress in the movie (she plays the one girl who was captured by Richard Speck, and testified against him in court), who is so terrible that you almost have to keep watching.

>> Dard Divorce (2007) : B-

>> The Locals (2003) : B-

A predictable but funny kiwi horror.

>> The Corridor (2010) : C

The idea wasn't bad but the pace was poor and that made it quite a boring viewing.

>> Bloodwork (2011) : B

Nothing new but decently done.

Watched "The Machinist" just yesterday, and I completely loved it. The last horror movie I watched was "The Awakening", though. It's quite nice, I guess.

one of my faves, that one.

I watched a film called 'Lo' and was pretty much entirely amazed. normally horror humor does not get me, but this movie is special.
