went to the used DVD place because x-files season 9 finally came in .. now i have all of them.

also

- simpsons - season 9 (brand new - $23 !!)
- beavis and butt-head - vol 1
- pirates of the caribbean - x-box

plus - a bunch of plumbing shit when a simple job of replacing the tap cores in the bathrooms turned into a fawcett assembly replacement.

i swore a lot today.

i'm proud to say - i'm a crack free zone.

christ i was mad though ..
i had a dripping tap in the guest bathroom and the master ...
been forever until i had the time to fix it .. so all i had left to do was unscrew the tap from the core .. and the bastard screw stripped..

so ... new fawcet assembly. in a tiny place i couldnt reach .. so i had to pull out the whole sink..10 minute $5 job becomes a 3 hour 70$ job.

Being a home owner I've yet to come across a 10 minute job....that and the fact that i'm a bit of a boob...I actually gave myself a black eye once removing a nail from the wall.....true story.......it was years ago......i'm getting better.

i'm actually pretty handy and careful .. i prepare well. ... but no matter what - stupid unforseeable crap happens .. things seize - parts are obsolete, or not standard ..etc .. very frustrating.

one cool thing came out of it .. when i was at the checkout of the Home Depot .. there were a couple of wicked deals on sale - i cought them both.

one is a 4 piece tool set by winchester.
comes in a wooden box .. has a small flashlight, a 'swiss army knife'
a locking blade jacknife, and one of those folding pliers with knives and screwdrivers folded away in the handle.

really nice finish on the knives .. the set was $7 !!
thinking of going back for a couple more.

also got a 126 piece set by black and decker .. all kinds of drill bits (hole, wood, ceramic, regular), screw drivers, screw driver heads, a ton of stuff .. and not the cheap crap either... it was $30 ..

Got me a $30 Best Buy gift card from my sister in law for christmas, so i got me Edward Scissor hands for $7(Widescreen anniversary edition), Sleepy Hollow (Widescreen) $9, and Team America: World Police for $9, so still have enough for probably most of another movie :)
