National Lampoons - Going the Distance...One of the companies weakest efforts, this was just not funny to me.

Beerfest - It had a few moments of crapiness, but other than those, it was good fun. I was apprehensive about seeing this on account of Broken Lizards last fuckup of a film (Club Dread - Hated every thing about it), and where this is no "super troopers", I think the folks at Broken Lizard have redeemed 'emselves in my eyes, with this one.
I'll be keeping an eye out for Super Troopers 2, late 2007.

Fantastic 4 - Rewatched...not bad, not great. Some elements I really liked, and were true to the comic (the torch/thing ballbusting was great), others I didn't...Dooms origin, the almost blank sue storm and reed richards, the plot wasn't outstanding either...it's an "ok" watch, but not one of my comic-based favourites.

Scary Movie 1 - IMO still the best of the lot.
It's lost something since first watching it, but still evokes the laughs, and makes me wonder if the Wayans brothers couldn't have made a bunch of better films than they have since...

Dirty Sanchez - The Movie.
This was great....good music, crazy STUPID stunts. Makes Jackass look bland.
Nice appearance by the tokyo shockboys too...

DeRailed - Ok, not great.
Now that the "twist" element is gone (although I kind've saw SOMETHING like that coming) I don't think I'll much enjoy watching this one again.
If you haven't seen it, I'd reccomend hiring, not buying.

Toy Soldiers - A bit laughable by todays standards, but still watchable and fun...Some nicely done kills in there too...

They're making a sequel to super troopers? \:D/

Phalanx 02-05-2007 07:09 PM

Yup
Quote:

A prequel to the 2002 film Super Troopers is in production due to be released in 2008. This will take place in the 1970s and will follow the fathers of the main characters in the original film
Sorry, 2008.

Also, some other stuff wiki says they're working on/considering

The Babymaker: a comedy about a man with bad sperm (Heffernan) who breaks into a sperm bank to retrieve some sperm that he had donated five years earlier, but which is now promised to someone else

Ambulance Chasers: a comedy that tells the story of a couple of ferociously aggressive personal-injury lawyers fighting over a new client

Take My Wife: a comedy directed by Chandrasekhar that revolves around an average guy who jokingly swaps wives with a Hollywood superstar

Greek Road: an R-rated comedy set in Ancient Greece. The movie will follow Heffernan as a young Plato who is a freshman wrestling student at Athens University. Plato is planning to wrestle for the university in the Olympics, but he is failing his Basic Thought class; so the university hires Socrates, a senior played by Lemme, to tutor Plato. Plato ends up cheating and passing the class, and the two travel to Mt. Olympus together. On the road, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades (played by the other three members) make bets on whether or not Plato and Socrates will make it and begin getting in their way

^^That one could be really cool...^^

Potfest: at the end of the film Beerfest, the main characters are invited to compete in a marijuana-smoking contest, and the words "Potfest - Coming Soon" appear on-screen. The group are now considering making Potfest into an animated sequel to Beerfest. However, on Broken Lizard's Myspace page they stated that this was just a joke that got turned into a rumor.

They also did a movie before super troopers called "Puddle Cruiser", one I might try to get a copy of...I can now safely say I like "most" of their stuff.

Yeah, ambulance chasers sounds like it could be really funny too.

Did you like it?

I love the original. Rutger Hauer is great as John Ryder, pure evil.

Was thinking about trying to catch the remake this weekend, but if we can get a sitter I've got to see The Departed.

Dirty Sanchez the movie 2/10
, I had never seen the show, these guys anoyed the fuck out of me especially that blond haired one who keeps crying like a girl.

Syriana 4/10 I don't care about these characters or thier lives. And the cinematography made me sick in the gut.

The Book of revelation 6/10, a good erotic thriller, but a little flat.

Enjoyable.

Roderick Usher 02-06-2007 01:17 PM

Halloween 25 Years of Terror - it's an okay doc, but the "making of" on the 25th anniversary disc is more engrossing by far.

The_Return 02-06-2007 01:23 PM

The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!?

I was hoping for some cheesy B-movie fun, but I ended up with boring, drawn out garbage. Once the "zombies" showed up it was kind of fun, but the rest of the movie is just mind-numbingly awful - and not in a good way.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

Hated it the first time I watched it, but decided to give it another chance. Not as bad as I remembered it, but still not that great. It had its moments, but overall Im not a big fan.

I still haven't seen this...I bought the 2-disc deluxe edition of it for a whopping $4.50 when Circuit City was having their after Thanksgiving sales, but I'm not interested enough to have seen it yet.

Quigley Down Under

I love this movie. Tom Selleck is one of the few actors nowadays who actually looks like he belongs in a western. Great action, good acting and the right amount of humor. A wonderful film. To bad they never made a sequel.

The Underground Comedy Movie

Er.... Did someone forget to tell these guys that movies have plots and characters and that comedy's are supposed to be funny? This "movie" was basically about 3 different takes of about 10 different mini-sketches. A few were reomtely funny, most were not. Overall, I was bored with this. Think of it like Jackass, a bunch of random, stupid skits but scripted and trying way too hard to be funny and then they try to thread some loose-fitting nonsensical plot through a couple of the scenes... What we end up with is this waste of time. Excellent soundtrack though.

D The soundtrack and three or four funny parts spared it from an 'F'.

Bad Religion: The Riot

This was a pretty cool hour long video showing some old late 80s/early 90s Bad Religion footage. I enjoyed this because every time I've seen them live, it's been much more recent and they've played newer material so it was cool to see some of their old shit being played live. The footage of the 1990 riot in North Hollywood that started because the fire marshalls shut down a Bad Religion show before it ever started was not as graphic or cool as I was hoping, but it was still a pretty awesome spectical of anarchy. The theatre that was supposed to host the show was 100% ransacked, swat teams in riot gear, paramedics, fire departments with water hoses and helicopters with search lights were all called in to disperse the unruly mob. Pretty entertaining film, but not the greatest sound quality on some of the concert footage from 1988.

Dazed and Confused

This is just one of those movies I can watch over and over and it never seems to lose it's appeal. Aside from Big Lebowski and Vacation, there are not too many comedys I can say that about. Expertly cast & written. Fantastic soundtrack. Good actors across the board and just an overall excellent movie. No matter how much I watch it, it doesn't get old.

$4.50...just about what its worth. Maybe a little overpriced...

Really though, if you have it anyway its worth a watch. Most of it is pretty bad, but the overall look and feel is kinda cool. You'd like parts of it.

The Outlaw Josey Wales

Out of boredom I started acting out a scene, turned the tv off for about 5 minutes then back on, I was in perfect unison with the film.

Somebody needs to come up with another, more pathetic sounding word, the term 'fanboy' just doesn't seem like enough.
