I'm guessing they aren't all first time viewings? Kind've jealous if they are though, some good flicks there.

Sadly, the only couple of the bunch I've seen are American Psycho, Hatchet II (put it back to rewatch before III), and Parks & Rec.

It's too bad about Twixt... I've heard such poor things about it but I'm still so damn intrigued. Also too bad about Killer Inside; been curious to see more of Casey Affleck).

To be fair, Killer Inside isn't exactly bad, its just not all that good and nowhere near as visceral as the hype suggest.... Twixt is just pretty much awful though.

Curious to see what you think of a few of the other flicks though. Y Tu Mama Tambien is quality and I think you'll find Existenz interesting. The rest are all varying degrees of watchable to good. Only one I haven't seen is Intouchable , and I'm only like halfway through season 2 of Parks and Recreation so got a ton of catching up to do.

Existenz was one of the first DVDs I ever bought... Seen it many times, although it's been awhile and I'm due.

I've only seen it a couple of times, but feel like it has a ton of rewatch value. Jennifer Jason Leigh puts in a great performance too. Not Cronenberg's best, but still pretty damn good.

I just found the acting/ dialogue really weak, everything felt a little bit uncomfortable and forced. Visually there are some nice scenes, and its always good to see Bruce Dern in anything, but overall I was disappointed.

it was messy, and personal - and Kilmer is pretty rough to watch these days (still has a great voice though)

But it's Coppola … so there's no way i'm not going to see it ..

yeah...really torn with Twixt

its been on my list for awhile but with all the shitty reviews, Ive been avoiding it.

urgeok2 01-08-2014 08:17 PM

i never let reviews disuade me from seeing anything ..

almost every film is worth seeing - even the 'bad' ones

For Mumblecore fans, Drinking Buddies is available on Netflix.

Also, All The Boys Love Mandy Lane is available. I liked this movie with the exception of the end. Amber Heard is stunning.
