i'm watching the texas chainsaw massacre remake. i think it's the only horror movie remake i actually like ... along with hills have eyes.

Excellent watches for this time of the year. Heartily recommended to any Halloween moviephile.

Little Otik (2000)

The actors played Otik's parent did a marvelous job...especially the mother. This is my 2nd film of Jan Svankmajer after Lunacy, which I think is the better film.

Alucarda (1978)

Though initially I was thinking it'd be like a Jean Rollin's take on The Exorcist but gradually it delivered almost every madness & fun that you can expect from an occult/demonic possession flick set on a convent of Gothic era. Loved it.:D

A decent Danish Ghost story.

When A Stranger Calls (1979) I was pleasantly surprised by this-it made up for its very unoriginal plot by utilizing a realistic bad guy character plus racketed up some genuinely tense and creepy moments.
