The Mummy (1932)

Pretty good. Not up there with Dracula, Frankenstein or The Wolf Man, but still pretty good.

The Illusionist...really nice filming on this one...captures the era nicely.Fine acting, nice love story....but kind of predictable ending.

Little Miss Sunshine
That little girl was cute, and I don't care what anyone says...she had it goin' on with her Superfreak! :)

I also recently saw The Decent...wasn't impressed really. It WAS a little nerve wrecking, but not really all that terrifying like I was told it would be.

It's one of the beautiful goriest movies I have seen in these days!

Cars

I thought this sucked. It started off boring and just never was able to even remotely grab my interest and to be perfectly honest, I don't even see how little kids would enjoy it. I just thought it sucked. Unfunny, boring piece of crap.

Jackass Number 2

Well, this is less of a movie and more of an unrated, triple length version of the show, but it was entertaining nonetheless. Sometimes they toe the line of being crudely funny to just being downright nasty but on the whole, this was a pretty funny film.

Little Miss Sunshine

Wow. This was great. It immediately felt like one of those comedies that I'll still be watching years from now (like Big Lebowski or Napolean Dynomite). Funny story, great acting & characters. All around entertaining.

Big Trouble In Little China....one of my all time favorite Carpenter movies.
Kurt Russell is hilarious.
"It will come out no more..."
"WHAT? Huh? What'll come out no more?!?"

Kevin Costner's version kinda buried that one. Don't remember much of it. Worth a watch?
I used to really like the British TV series from way back (I bet it hasn't dated well haha).

House of 1000 Corpses

Really cool movie...my third viewing and it still holds up.

Will hopefully be watching Devil's Rejects this evening. Really looking forward to it!

The Illusionist. I was quite pleasantly surprised by this one. The magic effects were amazing. Even though I knew that it was a movie, there was some small part of me that kept saying, "Cool! I wonder how they did that!" Edward Norton turns in his usual very strong performance (I really believe that he is one of the finest actors now living) and the rest of the cast does a wonderful job as well. Even though the ending is maybe a little too pat in tying up all the loose ends, this was a thouroughly enjoyable film. Overall: 8/10

Criterion edition? It really is more disturbing with the added, what, 2 minutes or so? Especially the scene where Murphy gets gunned down. It really changes the feel of the movie.

Caught all but the first 20 minutes of Col Mountain. Well acted, pretty not bad, but god DAMN i am done with the tragic endings....

Nope not Criterion unfortuanatly...
Murphy's death is so viscious now, it really makes the movie more satisfying.

Just watched Lust In The Dust......it was entertaining.
Divine was such a ham... (no pun intended:p )
I actually liked it pretty well.

Not a movie, but I just watched the first eight episodes of Veronica Mars; and damn... this is quality television.

Beerfest

I don't know about these Broken Lizard dudes. Super Troopers was great. Club Dread was terrible. This was somewhere in between I suppose. There's no real plot here. Just a lot of beer drinking and crude jokes mixed with some German bashing. Not an all bad combination, but not neccesarily the funniest thing I can think of either. It was decent but not great.

I Love Horror Movies

I saw "Dust Devil" on Saturday and am finishing "Forbidden Planet" as I type. (technically that one is not a horror movie, it's sci-fi, but there is a space monster?). Has anyone seen dust devil? what did you think?
