I think it isn't too much wrong to say that Fast Five is the best in the series. But I'd like to put it just after the first one. Liked their idea to add the heist action flavor with very few but some effective fast car sequence. Johnson and Diesel's fight part was a great treat to watch. Now very much looking forward for the Fast Six.

I didn't dislike Tokyo Drift but yeah it wasn't that much good either.

Fright Night

With the remake out, i decided to revisit this movie. It's been awhile but it's still as fun as the first time i saw it. I forgot how awesome the death scenes were. I hope the remake can live up to it.

"Conan The Barbarian" (2011)
-Jason Momoa

Plot: IMDB

The tale of Conan the Cimmerian and his adventures across the continent of Hyboria on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village.

Phantom's Review: Awesome! This was a great movie. Exactly what I wanted in a Conan movie. A story right out of the pulps, extreme violence, gallons of gore, evil witches, sorcery, sword fights and lots of naked woman.
Jason Momoa is fine as Conan (his style/look is more Barry Windsor-Smith, than John Buscema) and the film is shot well. I enjoyed it a lot.

Just watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

It was good, very good even. The ending was a little anticlimatic but I'm under the impression there is a sequel already in the works so it makes sense really. Plus, there is some extra parts after the initial credits so be sure to stick around for a little bit. This sets the scene for a follow up nicely. The CGI is frankly, amazing. The few laughable parts are, I think, a result of the difficulty of showing increasing intelligence. For that reason, I don't think the film should be criticised as they did well with a difficult idea. They just pushed it a little too far and it became a tad farcical.
