"Cowboys And Aliens" (2011)
-Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde

Plot: IMDB
1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). It's a town that lives in fear. But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known. Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he's been...

Phantom's Review: HOT DAMN! This is the coolest movie I've seen in years. Now, everyone here, should know by now, that I love westerns. but I also love Science Fiction/Horror movies too, and I think it's very cool when these genres are mixed, unfortunately, 8 times out of 10 the result is pretty bad, but not this time. Plenty of great western action, good story line and excellent special FX. Harrison Ford was born to play in westerns, Daniel Craig is also very impressive and Olivia Wilde is absolutely gorgeous. This film may not be for everyone, but for me it was awesome.

I hear ya on the digging scene. The idea was great, but they failed so bad on it. It was wayyy too long, shouldve been cut in half. Also, Amy was so annoying, saying all this ridiculous jibberish that I was actually happy with the end result.

Your Highness:

Holy crap what a terrible movie. I had to turn it off about ten minutes in and try again the next day. I really wish I would have left it at the craptastic ten minute mark and never gone back. I honestly cannot think of one reason to recommend this movie to anyone. Well ok, Natalie Portman did a good job, but that bring sup a serious question. Why the hell would she do this movie? The same goes for Zooey Deschanel. The infantile weed, swearing, and dick jokes were just way too much. I have just one thing to add: minortaur penis. That's right. Min-o-taur PENIS. Yeah. Pretty funny stuff. For an eight year-old. Or maybe a stoner I guess? Either way, I'm neither so this movie sucked pretty hardcore which is too bad because it looked pretty fun.

Wrong Turn 1,2, and 3:

I picked these up on bluray since it was a set for $20. The first one was fairly good, but it rapidly went downhill from there. The second and third were quite cornball direct-to-dvd quality. I just wish that the inbred hillbillies weren't so stupidly comical. They went too far with them. I think the movies would have been more terrifying if the hillbillies were actually believable. As it was they were about as scary as a muppet that had some dirt rubbed on it.

Last seen horror movie? The howling, last night. Still love the Eddie Quist character and the transformation scene. I always get the feeling the movie is underrated.

My all-time favorite horror movie. I agree with your feeling that it's underrated, I feel the same way.

Last movie watched for me was Alien.
