This looks to be more of a young adult(14-18) horror flic. Not for me, but I probably would've liked it back then.

SerialKiller 10-19-2016 03:08 AM

Hmm. I think I'll give this a chance.

A not Cloverfield Cloverfield movie. Looks entertaining.

Yeah I can see this being of some interest to my friends back in high school since we were generally emo goths. I do find it somewhat fascinating now though as an artist (or someone who enjoys throwing rubbish on paper and thinks it looks like art) myself. Making art with blood is rather enjoyable actually... just a shame it clots so fast and makes it useless as an ink...

TheBossInTheWall 11-13-2016 04:39 PM

Visually this looks fantastic. Reminds me a lot of Heavy Metal(magazine) in the 90's.

TheBossInTheWall 11-20-2016 09:02 AM

Excellent comedy.

TheBossInTheWall 11-23-2016 11:27 AM

Serious and comedic movie about the Cornulla riots in Sydney, Australia. It looks interesting.

TheBossInTheWall 11-27-2016 09:00 AM

This looks like it could be fun, but it also looks like it could be very 'broish.'

TheBossInTheWall 11-27-2016 04:03 PM

I generally do not enjoy anthology/short films. Not that they're bad, just not for me. However this is one of those that look good enough that I might be able to enjoy it.

Roiffalo 12-08-2016 10:12 PM

Might try that one. ^

IT looks very good. It has been some time I think since a horror has had big box office success. I think this remake turns things around. Of course then come the sequels...

I have to buy that writing book by Stephen King so I can make the big bucks like him.

Repo'd 03-30-2017 04:06 PM

I'm very excited about this one. I don't care for the original mini series at all and always hoped someone would get another shot at adapting the frightening novel. This is IT!

cheebacheeba 03-30-2017 05:21 PM

Agreed, repo'd.
Wondering if the werewolf will make the cut?
Seems they've done a scene with a projector that I like...I wonder if maybe the "put the finger in the picture" scene could happen.
I never minded the old one/series, but there were glaring differences. Hello.

Repo'd 03-30-2017 06:23 PM

The werewolf was one of the first things that came to my mind when I heard about a remake. That and the projector scene, which as you say, appears to be in the new version. I'm also very excited to see how they handle the climax of the story. I felt like that was one of the original's most disappointing scenes and I'm hoping for a huge improvement.

The werewolf scene from the original was my favorite part (obvious reasons aside), because it was Seth Green who was attacked by it. It was like the movie was an omen for his role as Oz in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The remake isn't going to beat that. ::big grin::

I know what your saying, but the werewolf in the book was so much cooler. I really hope to see it chase them down Niebolt Street. Im hoping the rock fight is as brutal and Im hoping that the balloons come in more colors than red. I know that seems silly but I found it interesting that the balloons in the book come in green and yellow and red. I also cant wait to see the Leper play out.

Roiffalo 07-20-2017 07:09 PM

I'll be honest I've never read the book. I'll have to borrow it from my cool aunt, if anything to read that werewolf scene. ::wink::

I'm a Del Toro fan of course, so I immediately fell in love with the look of the trailer. The cast also looks like a beast!

Don't forget the beast itself! I was actually impressed from what I could see of it. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

My mother and I might actually go see Winchester. I'm so distraught (and still in disbelief) that I only just recently found out that she likes ghost type horror movies. ::shocked::

(I also saw the Hellraiser trailer on FaceBook recently... I'm trying to keep an open mind, but I'm doubtful about it after the last movie that was released.)

Practical effects you say... Guess what just shot up to the top of my list of priorities.
