The Shining. I guess the "controversial" Stephen King thread got me in the mood ;)

Also, I didn't understand how the husband of the charachter Julia Roberts played could get so angry at her for cheating on him, when he readily admitted HE cheated while on a business trip! ;) It was like...double standard much?

Anyway, before *I* bore you to tears, I'll shut up. :D

SOME SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE CLOSER BELOW!!!!

Actually I understand exactly why he was so upset with her. He was a completely despicable character and could at times be cruel, but really he seemed to be the most honest of the four central characters. He admitted to his infidelity almost right away, she didn't. And the circumstances were a little different. I don't want to add too many spoilers, so I won't say more than that. Let's just say he went into their marriage blind. She didn't. But all of the characters were creeps. Jude Law's character seemed to be touted as this grand romantic and he was every bit as slimy as the doctor in his own way, for all his obsession with the "truth" he sure as hell didn't seem to live it.

Not a pleasant experience, overall. I will never watch it again, but admittedly there was some fine acting and it was brutally honest in a lot of ways.

three enjoyable short films, somewhat controversial or should I say ethical content in 'Dumplings'. Watch it to see what you think.

The other two got progressivly stonger visually, but of the three, I prefered Chan-Wook's 'Cut', the guy has a way with getting the best out of actors, even though I'm relying on subs throughout the film, you can sence they've put effort into their roles, I've not seen in other modern same genre asian titles.
