How does it match up to the original?

Just finished watching the original Nightmare on Elm Street. The movie is great, but the ending is a total mindfuck :eek:

I highly enjoyed it! Pretty entertaining with an unpredictable twist at the end...yeah, I didn't see that coming. A good comeback for John Carpenter.

A very decent post-Vampocalyptic film. But I was expecting something more in the end which turned out rather very simple with a little hint for a sequel (?) may be.

An average 'rape & revenge' exploitation flick from Argentina with some wooden acting & flat characters.

13 Assassins - 8/10

Highly entertaining sword play flick. The final scene, the battle sequence, lasts a long time and is totally engrossing. The setting for this final explosive stage is raw, violent and gripping. By the time the powder keg goes off, I found myself chomping at the bit to see some retribution.

In short, wonderful, emotive story telling with a superb climax. Check it!!!

Shutter Island

I did find it confusing at times, but i caught on for the most part pretty quick. Afterwards I think in all it was a pretty predictable ending. And the clues became clear to me of what was going on.
